Emma and Alex had been working on their special project for weeks, and it was finally starting to come together. They had been meeting every day, working tirelessly to bring their vision to life.

As they worked, Emma couldn't help but notice the way Alex looked at her. She saw a glimmer of attraction in his eyes, and she felt her heart skip a beat.

But despite the growing tension between them, Alex still hadn't made a move. Emma was starting to wonder if she had misread the situation entirely.

One day, as they were working on their project, Emma's phone rang. She answered it, expecting it to be one of her friends or family members.

But to her surprise, it was Alex's best friend, Jake. "Hey, Emma, I need to talk to you about something," Jake said.

Emma's heart skipped a beat. "What is it?" she asked.

"It's about Alex," Jake said. "He's been hiding something from you. Something big."

Emma's mind was racing. What could Alex be hiding from her?

"Tell me," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Jake hesitated, and then he spoke. "Alex is from a wealthy family too," he said. "He's been hiding it from you because he didn't want you to know."

Emma's eyes widened in shock. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Why?" she asked, her voice shaking with emotion.

"Because he was hurt by someone from a wealthy family before," Jake said. "He didn't want to go through that again."

Emma felt a pang of sadness. She had no idea that Alex had been hurt like that before.

But as she thought about it, she realized that it made sense. It explained why Alex had been so hesitant to trust her.

Emma's heart went out to Alex. She wanted to tell him that she wasn't like the person who had hurt him before. She wanted to tell him that she cared about him deeply.

But as she looked at Alex, she saw that he was watching her. He knew that she had found out his secret.

And Emma realized that everything had just changed.
