Astrid gulped slowly, "What is it about you? Why are you so different?"
"Because you don't know my past, Astrid."
"Then tell me." She urged him but his eyes, the way he stared at her made her gulp. He didn't trust her enough. The reason was simple, because Astrid was not yet his or she didn't trust him either.
She cleared her throat to break the prolonging silence, "Do you agree?" She asked instead and he tilted his head.
"No, Astrid. I don't."
"But I need your help. For me to be strong, I need the help of someone powerful behind me."
"What are you planning to do?" He asked.
"Dethrone Shane."
"Why should I help you with that?" He raised a brow.
"It's a revenge that needs to happen for me to have peace. Please do that for me. I want him to feel the pain I felt."
