Maggie dried her hands on one of the beach towels. Their lunch was basically ruined but she smiled at Peter and Izzy. “Well, we saved some.”
“Terry’s really mad.” Izzy chewed on her fingernail.
“It’ll be fine.” She pulled her daughter’s hand away from her mouth. “Things happen. It’s okay.” She hoped it’d be okay.
Terry was usually great with the kids, but he did have a temper and the kids had been a bit of a trial today. They were still overtired from their weekend with Nick and Sarah.
