Reunion At The Battle Royale (Pt. 2)

Silence consumed the stadium upon witnessing the unbridled underlying strength within Raijin Ishida. Kusanagi herself couldn't help feel amazed by her friends power. She watched as the students that once surrounded Tetsuo and Sun split away to fight each other again while the former continued to battle whoever would dare try. While they tried to focus on what may come towards them, they both couldn't help but study the whereabouts of Raijin. "What is the name of that of that Lycan?" Kusanagi questioned Violet who skimmed through the applications until his likeness appeared via photo. "Simply known as Xerxes. Nicknamed 'The Twilight Beowulf' from where he was picked up from." Violet answered her master's need for knowledge on the bloodthirsty subject. "The Shadow Wolves Guild requested for him despite his sometimes uncontrollable bloodlust and passion for battle overtakes all. Their rebuttal for The Shatter Dragons wanting Raijin." Violet added to spark more unnecessary controversy regarding the one sided rivalry between guilds. Both requested individuals fighting one another seemed rather fitting. "I see. So it wouldn't hurt anyone if he ending up dying trying to fight Raijin to the death." Kusanagi came to the assumption having outstanding levels of confidence within her best friend to annihilate the pest in her eyes. "Based on their capabilities which is unknown given our current understanding on the matter, it's a fifty-fifty chance. But that can easily sway depending on the evaluation stage." Violet answered Kusanagi who now quietly watched the fight begin to unfold. Xerxes found himself pinned with the eastern side wall of the arena. His eyes shot open with murderous intent hellbent on making Raijin his next victim. A smirked etched onto his face before his tongue warped along the rims of his lips. Intoxicated and swooned underneath the influence of Raijin's blood, the Lycan forced himself free from his position. His true disposition beginning to unveil itself on display in front of everyone. "Interesting...I've never had demon blood stained by that of a half dragon. You have quite the taste. I want more!" this particular fiend hunched himself forward preparing to clash with what he deemed as his next meal. "Come give it a try. But I won't make it easy for you." Raijin boldly stated enticing the wolf male even more. His tongue stuck out with drool dripping in elation. "But that's the thing. I LOVE the thrill of the hunt!" He shouts before charging directly towards Raijin with almost the speed of a lightning bolt. "I, Xerxes, will consume your flesh and wear your entrails as jewelry!" Xerxes painted the gruesome image of what he had in store for his opponent. Raijin snarled to himself yet remained still regardless. Just as Xerxes raised his hand and extended his fingernails into talons just inches away from Raijin's eyes, Raijin gripped his wrist tightly to halt his progress from going any further. Xerxes used his free hand to aim for Raijin's neck. Proof that Xerxes was killing for mere sport. Luckily, Raijin remained engrossed in their battle enough to block the other hand. "Your the man that Shatter Dragons took a liking to. Right? And I the Shadow Wolves. We're nothing but pawns in their so called rivalry for superiority in this contest of skills. As for me, I don't care about that bullshit. Killing you is doing me nothing more than favors and accolades. Adding a abomination like you will impress my clan members to put me at the head of the table." Xerxes would speak illy of his foe. These words hosted hateful and antagonistic speech that Raijin cared less for the longer they struggled. "Your fighting to have a place in this world to matter. Hmph. Funny. So am I. But your going about it the wrong way. Let this fight display that difference." Raijin came to the conclusion before arching his head back and connecting with a direct headbutt that sent Xerxes back. Xerxes was able to rebound this attack by digging his talons deep within the dirt to stop himself. He launched himself back at Raijin only for Tetsuo to interfere and immobilize Xerxes with a chain coiled around his neck like a leash. Sun piled on the attack by running forward with his staff aiming to slam the blunt object across his face. Xerxes eyes glowed glowed an ominous scarlet and counteracted Sun's attack through catching the weapon in his mouth and flung him to the side. He cut the chain and lunged towards Raijin as this was main target. Ready for battle, Raijin stood ready as the two clashed punches and kicks in a very rapid succession. Despite Xerxes advantage of speed, Raijin kept up with his assault through his innate supernatural senses to defend himself. Raijin landing heavy blows along Xerxes's face and body while Xerxes aimed to mortally wound him and countered with a punch along his blind spots if those attacks failed. The markings from the claws was becoming visible from Raijin's clothes were slowly ripping in full view which was pretty easy to do so given he still basically wore his sleeping clothes that consisted of a black shirt and black sweatpants while barefoot. His blood started splattering all over the field until finally Xerxes managed a punch across Raijin's face knocking him away and into a wall like he did to him before. "Raijin!!" Tetsuo yelled out of concern ready to intervene again. Raijin fell to his feet hunched over and wiped his mouth blood only for more from his arms covering his face. Raijin panted heavily continuing attempting to erase the blood from his skin. His scent only sending Xerxes in a more feral state. "I'm going to enjoy eating you, Dragon Boy!" Xerxes yelled at Raijin to assail upon his foe. Unable to wipe away the blood which now covered his entire face, Raijin forgot about it to deal with him first. 'No more holding back!' Raijin made the notion to himself as his sudden rise in magical power rose drastically in comparison to what he was showing throughout the duration of the royale. A vermilion aura swallowed Raijin whole. His hands cuffed around his lips and just as Xerxes lunged at him. "BOOM!" Raijin released a massive fireball spewing from his mouth putting an end to his merciless onslaught. The sphere of flames spiraled bigger when the blast launched to the opposite end of the stage. The downside was that the flames scorched Xerxes to oblivion. His blood-curdling screams echoed through the entire stadium as the dust cleared and all that remained was his very ashes left behind mixing with the very soil. Raijin's aggravated look upon his face spoke for him as he felt aggrieved for what he had done. "I'm sorry...but may your violent tendencies find salvation for wherever you may end up..." Raijin spoke in almost a poetic manner towards his fallen enemy. ---------------------------------------- The battle between Xerxes and Raijin ended in Raijin's favor. The crowd regardless of the horrific death that just occured cheered loudly in acceptance of Raijin. Even the likes of Kusanagi could be seen cheering him on from her podium almost to the point of falling out if it wasn't for Violet holding her back from holding along her waistline. Raijin looked at his hands which trembled by the power he just unleashed to eradicate Xerxes for good. Sun flipped and landed sitting on Raijin's shoulder. But instead of feeling a massive weight, Sun was extraordinarily light for someone his size. Tetsuo would come up to him nudging his shoulder. "I knew you were holding back...but I didn't know THAT much." Tetsuo joked to snap Raijin out of his trance. "But don't flake out on me now. We still gotta fight until were in the last fifteen." Tetsuo reminded him causing Raijin to shake his head and take a fighting stance once more. But then he noticed his display of power invoked legitimate fear that every other contestant felt backed into a corner both figuratively and in most cases literally. "I'm afraid...that won't be necessary. I'm calling an end to these games now." A noble majestic voice hovered over them unveiling the man behind Shatter Dragons, The top guild in Rose Arcane University, Zeroth Yarborough. He was a scrawny built man crafted within the finest clothing with colors of cerulean and diamond studded pieces of armor and hidden behind a silver dragon face mask. His hair sporting an illustrious sky blue with eyes that matched. His entire existence was one that exemplifies royalty at its finest. "You three have all signed up to join our precious guild. I called for Raijin specifically so he's instantly in. As for the two of you, I see you gel perfectly with Rai here and I can't help but enjoy the chemistry. It preaches my intention what we as a guild stand for." The mysterious male spoke before them which made Sun ask a simple question. "And that would be?" He calmly wanted to know this information. A light smirk bestowed the man's lips. "Why balance of course. Knowing ones true capabilities are unknown unless you battle your true mortal enemy...yourself. Finding and fighting that flaw is what we excel at to make us more stronger than we could possibly dream of." He would address the three as such. But Raijin turned and looked towards Kusanagi who smiled proudly at him for his well fought battle and Raijin couldn't help but do the same towards her. But their moment was foiled by a sudden coughing noise to grasp his attention again. "I was told of your connections to Lady Kusanagi from childhood, correct?" The male interrogated on said fact to which Raijin agreed with said statement. "That's right. Me and Tetsuo." Raijin replied with Tetsuo agreeing with what Rai said with his inclusion. "Then you should be aware that your reunion will be cut short besides missions due to because our don't get along, which we do rather swell. But because she threw herself within a predicament where she can't accept you...because her guild is an exclusively ALL FEMALES group." He spoke putting emphasis on the gender indifference that caused said rift between them. "It's at least better that you join me instead so that you may work extra closely with them. Wouldn't you say?" The male continued to pile of the pressure of having them join his guild. Raijin and Tetsuo looked towards each other for consideration of the matter before being forced to incline on the decision at hand. "It's better than none at all...we choose Shatter Dragons." Raijin answered for the trio of men that made the leader of the guild all the more happy that they decided to join. "Excellent. My name is Zeroth. I'll be supervising your training personally." Zeroth announced with an elegant bow attached to ensure his regal presence was felt throughout all. This is where things started changing. The journey was now set for Raijin and company. His adventure of self discovery and the untold truth involving his entire family was now in motion to be revealed. It was all now a matter what lies ahead for the young heroes.
