CHAPTER 7

234 Words
In the days that followed Johanne’s confession, life felt both lighter and more uncertain. There was a new openness between her and her parents, though they still needed time to fully understand. Meanwhile, Sari and Johanne’s bond grew stronger, rooted in honesty and trust. One evening, they sat on a park bench under the glow of string lights, watching the world go by. Sari: "It’s strange, isn’t it? How something so scary can turn into something so freeing." Johanne: (smiling softly) "I never thought I’d have the courage to be myself so openly. You’ve helped me see that it’s possible." Sari took Johanne’s hand in hers. Sari: "We’ve come so far. And I believe there’s so much more waiting for us." Johanne looked into Sari’s eyes, feeling a new sense of hope. Johanne: "I want us to keep moving forward—together. No matter what challenges come our way." Suddenly, her phone buzzed. She checked it to see a message from her sister, inviting her to a family gathering that weekend. Johanne hesitated but then nodded. Johanne: "It’s time I introduce Sari to everyone." Sari: (with a gentle smile) "I’d like that." As they stood up, hand in hand, the future seemed a little brighter. They knew that love—though sometimes complicated—was worth fighting for. And with each step, they were creating their own story of hope, courage, and new beginnings.
