The lively chatter echoed through Sunrise Orphanage.
"I haven't had cupcakes in so long! Thank you, Claire!"
"Claire, when are you coming back again?"
"Yeah, it's been forever since your last visit! We've all missed you."
The kids crowded around, sharing the snacks Claire had just brought for them. Even their usual games couldn't distract them from their excitement.
Looking at their eager, bright eyes, Claire couldn't bring herself to mention the troubles she'd been dealing with lately. She paused for a moment and then pulled a funny face.
"Miss me that much, huh? Don't worry, I'll be back to visit in just a few days!"
