Estelle Juniper’s point of view:
I woke up in prison, again! I have been kidnapped again! I guess I have a knack for it. This time I don’t know who kidnapped me. The people guarding the prison are wearing jackets that say, “Blood Moon,” with this strange font that looks like blood drops on some of the letters. So, I can guess who kidnapped me.
They blindfolded and gagged me so I couldn’t see who it was and could scream or anything. This is the second time I have been taken against my will this month. Maybe I have been cursed by an evil witch, I don’t know!
I banged on the bars of the cell yelling, “Get me out of here!” I doubt anyone would listen, but it was worth the try.
“Stop yelling!” One of the jacket-wearing guards yelled back. I gave up and sat down on a bench in my cell. I stood up as the Blood Moon’s alpha came in and took me into an interrogating room, similar to when I got kidnapped the first time, but he wasn’t as gentle.
He started to question me about who my parents are and why I was in Crescent Moon. “I don’t know my parents and they also kidnapped me. I am getting kidnapped so much lately!” He chuckled, murmured something to one of the guards and they took me back to my cell.
I didn’t sleep a wink last night, prison beds aren’t the most comfortable. The guards served breakfast. Breakfast looked like a colorless slop of muck. Which I wasn’t going to eat.
Steele Crescent’s point of view:
I have sent all of our best warriors, even our lead warriors, to find Estelle. I even sent a few hunters, so they can find her faster. I have been worried ill this last day, I should’ve marked her when I had a chance. If I did then I would know where she is.
I can guess that she is in the Blood Moon Prison, but can’t just prance in there, so I have to hope that she is somewhere else, and I can only hope to the moon goddess that they didn’t hurt her. Prudence has been a big help in the loss of Estelle.
“We found Estelle!” Our lead warrior, Alaska exclaimed, running into the packhouse and out again. I followed him to the other warriors and hunters. “We think that she has been imprisoned in the Blood Moon Prison” I grunted, a sign of frustration and anger.
“I already know that she is there!”
“Then why did you send us?”
“Because I was hoping I was wrong” I sat down on the stairs to the packhouse. I cupped my face with my hands, distraught. “But, we do need a plan to get her out.” I looked up. “Do you guys have any ideas?”
“No, not really.” One of the other warriors said their eyebrows arching down then up.
“Well, we can’t just give up.” I started pacing back and forth, trying to think of anything that could help the situation. Then it was like a light bulb went on in my head. “I will break-in, and impersonate one of the guards!” Everyone around me made a face of troublement.
“If you are going to do that, then at least send one of us to do it.” Alaska crossed his arms around his chest. “You are going to be the alpha, and one of my closest friends. I would never forgive myself if something went wrong.”
“I won’t, trust me.” I tried to ease everyone, but they all still looked worried. “I am going but one of you guys can come with if that would make you less worried.” I could tell everyone softened a little after I said that. I didn’t want to, but I knew if I didn’t they wouldn’t let me go.
I left the next day, to the Blood Moon Prison. The Blood Moon Pack is the fiercest pack, not the strongest, but the most feared. There are myths and legends that the pack never takes mercy, and takes prisoners back alive. I can only hope that they didn’t kill Estelle.
