Continuation

After the close of school that day, Fred and Martin visited Tracy's house. Tracy was watching a program on the television when she heard a knock on the door, she opened the door and it was Fred and Martin. "Fred, what a surprise" she said as she shifted for them to enter. she urshered them in, and offered them drinks. "Tracy, why didn't you come to school today? I was worried all day" Fred asked. " am sorry I didn't tell u..... I went out with my mum early in the morning, with hope that I will come back on time and go to school, but unfortunately, I couldn't make it" she explained. " that means everything is alright? there is no problem?" Fred asked again, trying to be sure. " come on Fred, u worry too much.... everything is perfectly alright,, or do I look disturbed...." she was interrupted by Martin's laughter " Martin, what's funny? why are u laughing" she asked looking confused.

" you needed to have seen Fred in school today, he was completely lost in thought! even when lesson was going on, he was not even concentrating". Martin explained, still laughing.

" are u serious?" she burst into a loud laughter. "well my dear Fred, as you can see, I am perfectly alright and fine, so you don't have anything to worry about" she said trying to make Fred feel better.

"at least I am relaxed now........ So what about mum and dad" Fred asked

" Dad is not back from work, and mum has gone to a friend" Tracy answered.

" Ok then" he stands up "we will have to be on our way now" he concluded and Martin stood up at once. Tracy walked them to the door, and bid them good bye, and they left.

When Fred got home that day, he met his siblings Nelson and Juliet reading in front of the house.

"Bro. welcome.... where did you go to?" Nelson asked "um... I went to Tracy's house , you know she was not in school, so I went to her house to know if all is well with her" Fred explained. Just then, he noticed his father's car was not parked at the garage. " what of dad? ... is he not back from work yet? he asked."Dad has travelled to Abuja for a business, he will be back in two days time" Juliet replied and continued reading. Fred asked for his food, and was told to go in and take it at the kitchen.

Fred was watching television in the evening at about 8:30pm, when Nelson came to him with a huge sum of money

"where did you get all these money from? " Fred asked surprised.

" Dad gave them to me when he was leaving for Abuja.... he said I should give you this one for your extra lesson registration" he gives him a bundle " then this one is for anything that we might need in the house while he's away" he hands him over the rest of the money.

"ok....what about Juliet, where is she?" Fred asked.

" I think she has gone to bed" Nelson replied concentrating on the movie being shown on the television "Bed?.... but she has not had dinner?.... let me go and fetch, meanwhile go and tell Mary to serve dinner" Fred said and went upstairs towards Juliet's room, while Nelson went to Mary's room to to ask her to serve dinner.

Few minutes later, everyone including Mary was at the dinning savouring their food.

Mary was the househelp of the family. She was brought bin by Chief Johnson after his wife's death, to take care of the household chores and also to teach his children how to cook and perform other household chores, especially Juliet his only daughter...

After the meal, Juliet cleared the table, while Mary washed the plates.

Fred and Nelson went back to watching the television and were later joined by Mary and Juliet.
