Jaessa POV
As we near the location of the Luna’s disappearance, I can feel the remnants of magic within the earth. It’s as though a shadow of a memory has been left, soaked into the ground, a flicker of energy remaining.
I kneel and place my hand upon the earth where I feel the strongest pull and for some bizarre reason which I cannot yet fathom, I feel a strong pull. Daniel hovers nearby and I look into his eyes as he watches me in puzzlement.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” I ask the Alpha, forcing my voice to come forward as his gaze is overwhelming.
Daniel states at me for a moment before responding. “That exact spot is where we found Haley’s blood.” I feel a shudder run through my body as he clenches his jaw.
