Jaessa POV
Sixteen-and-a-half hours later I’m pulling up to the Black Hills territory. My body is sore and I’m completely drained, as I stopped only for fuel needs during my journey from Death Valley. My family greets me on the front steps, before Sarah ushers me inside. We gather in Travis’ office, and I begin to tell Travis, Sarah, Chad, Jenni and Trystan all about the visit with the Moon Goddess and the information I’ve uncovered, glossing over my last moments with the Alpha which led to my sudden departure. Sarah and Jenni stare at me as though they see right through my guarded heart.
“So you want us to help you track down your mother?” Travis asks for confirmation.
“Yeah, basically. From my understanding she could be anywhere.” I explain.
