Chapter 2

    I don't know how long we've been driving but from the little bit of outside I could see, it was getting dark. I kept my eyes on the guard and his eyes started to flutter shut, after it was almost completely dark outside, he started to snore pretty loud. That's when I heard it, there was a sudden voice in my head.

Oh you poor thing

    I looked around me startled, I didn't see anybody, and then it happened again.

Silly I'm in your head, you cannot see me unless we shift

Who are you? I asked in my head wondering if I was just losing my mind.

My name is Leigha, and your name is Amara.

Well, what the f*ck is shifting? and what are you?

Sweet child, shifting is what those men do when they turn into wolves, and I or rather we are werewolves, we can shift into wolves as well

Are you a monster like them too? I asked starting to tear up again.

No, my sweet Amara, you and I are two halves of a soul, we share a mind and bodies, I wish I could have protected you all these years. I promise to explain once we are free, but right now I need you to do as I say

    I had no idea why, but I felt like I could trust this Leigha in my head I nodded, still hearing the guard snoring.

RUN

Open the latch how the guard did, and just run, keep running, and don't stop

    I took a deep breath, I looked at the guard and the latch, I did as Leigha said I jumped, surprised that I landed okay when we were going at a decent speed. I looked at the car and seen the guard bolt awake, he shouted for the person driving to stop and I turned and started to run.

LEIGHA what do I do which way?

keep running and don't stop, down the hill to our left, run if you fall get up and keep running that way.

    I looked to the left and sure enough, there was a downward hill, I heard voices shouting behind me. I didn't stop, I ran as fast as my legs could carry me when I heard the voices stop at a tree and say in unison "F*CK!" They stopped chasing me but I kept running as Leigha said. I heard something on either side of me as I was running, when I looked they were wolves, I don't know if they were werewolves like the men or just wolves. I started panicking as they all started to growl I froze in fear. They started inching towards me and one pounced, everything went dark.

[ Unknown pov]

    I was sitting in my office filling out paperwork when there was a knock on the door. "Come in," I said, as my beta and best friend Dominik walked in. I smiled at him but let it fall when he looked serious, "What is it, Dominik?" "We caught a rouge running on our territory, they are awaiting you in the dungeon." I stiffened, "We haven't had any rouges on our land in almost two years, what the f*ck are they doing here" Dominik shrugged, "alpha, there's more" I looked at him and waited for him to go on. "She was in human form and alone from the looks of it." I looked at him confused, "Human form? how do you know she is a rogue then and not just a human, are you positive she's not just human?" "yes sir, she smells like a rogue and you can smell that she isn't human."

    I let out a deep growl, I asked him to walk with me to the cellar. We walked through the packhouse and outside, around the back of the packhouse are the cellar doors. We opened the first set and started to walk down the steps, my gamma and his mate were waiting for us "Derek, Natalie where is the rogue?!" "We put her in the big cell at the end of the left hall." I nodded as we all walked into the main cellar doors, that's when it hit me. The most wonderful smell I had ever imagined almost like lemongrass and honey, I followed where the smell was and looked up realizing it was my mate. My body was hungry for her and wanted her now, it was the so-called rogue, she didn't smell like a rogue, she smelled like heaven.

    My wolf Chaos started to come forward, when she opened her blueish gray eyes he just about pounced.

"MATE,"  Chaos said

    Derek, Dominik, and Natalie looked at me in complete shock, when my mate heard that and seen the lust in my eyes she started to scream and cry. "I'm s-so-sorry I d-don-don't know-w-w w-why I r-ran, s-sir pl-please do-don't  k-k-kill me-e-e." she was balling and I was just baffled and hurt by what she just said, I went to open my mouth and say something when she spoke again trying to pull herself together, "I hav-ve done everything y-you have ever a-asked me to do, I'm even wearing the clothes-s you picked out for me today." 

    My mouth dropped as I noticed what she was wearing, I started to get pissed because I had no clue what she was talking about, and I saw the burn marks on her legs and arms. She was still hanging by the silver chains on the ceiling, I noticed they were still burning her so I put on some gloves and unlocked the chains on her hands. Everyone just looked at me in shock when I did this but I did not care. 

    "What is your name?" I asked my mate trying to calm down. she scurried into the corner into a ball and looked at me. "Amara," she said in the smallest most scared voice I had ever heard, my heart felt like it broke when I felt the fear that radiated off of her. Who hurt this beautiful angel I was looking at. I felt a tear roll down my cheek as I looked her in her eyes.
