Chapter 10

[Brian's POV]

    I'm sitting in my office going through the paperwork for my business when I hear a knock at the door, "Who is it?" I asked, "It's Amber alpha, may I come in?" I sigh, Amara has this weird friendship with her that I still don't get but I don't trust her yet. "Fine, but leave the door open." She opens the door to my office and sits in the chair across from me. "What is it, Amber?", she took a deep breath in and looked at me, "I don't want to tell Amara this in case she flips out on me, but I have a bad feeling about that Apollo guy." I stand up and go to close my door, once it's shut I lock it so the soundproof charm activates. "I don't trust him either, I caught him literally drooling at Amara and he moves sketchy as fuck." Amber let out a sigh of relief, "Alpha, what do we even know about this guy? Besides that, he used to know Amara and her parents?" I sigh and return to my desk, I pull out a folder of information that I gathered on him, which really isn't much. "This is all we know about him. He's the alpha of a pack called Red Moon, he used to go to school with Amara's parents, and he's been off the grid for a while. He doesn't have a Luna to his pack, but he does have a decent-sized number of pack members."

    "Thank you for sharing this with me, alpha, I feel like we should keep an eye on him just in case. I will be taking my leave now." She bowed her head and made her way out of my office. I mind-linked Derek to meet me in my office. A few minutes later he came in and closed the door behind him, locking it as protocol. "Yes, Brian?" he asked as he sat down, "I'm going to need you to put a tracker on alpha Apollo's car, I do not trust him and do not let anybody see you." He nodded as I handed him a tracker from my desk drawer. He bowed his head and made his way to the garage. I leaned back in my chair and took in a deep breath. I'm probably just losing it but it's better to be safe than sorry. 

    Before I knew it I was already diving headfirst into paperwork. The smell of lemongrass and honey filled my nostrils brought me out of work. I looked up to see my perfect mate smiling at me, "Hi baby." I said grinning ear to ear. I walked up and gave her a gentle forehead kiss, "Hiiii baby." she said while giggling. I pulled her into my arms and hugged her while digging my face into her neck where my mark is, she is so amazing I still remember our first time like it still is happening.

[FLASHBACK]

    I stood at the bottom of the stairs, well more like pacing back and forth waiting for Amara to come down for our date. When the intoxicating smell of lemongrass and honey filled my nose I looked up and saw her in a beautiful black dress, it went down to her knees and it had a nice flow from the waist down. It was a spaghetti strap black cotton dress and she looked stunning, she came down the stairs so gracefully in her black wedges. I reached out my hand when she reached the bottom of the stairs, "Are you ready for this date gorgeous?" Her face flushed red and she nodded. I love it when she blushes, it makes the butterflies in my stomach haywire. "You look stunning by the way," I said as I kissed her hand leading her out the packhouse door. We walked to the garage and I helped her into my black hummer, "Watch your step, my love." I said before I closed the door and ran to my side of the car. 

    We drove to a little town just outside our territory, and to a small restaurant called Cleo's. It was small but the food was always amazing, we walked hand in hand to the restaurant and waited for our seats. We got a booth by the back windows and our waitress came, "Welcome to Cleo's can I get you a drink to start with?" she asked, "Strawberry lemonade please?" Amara said smiling, "Sure thing gorgeous, and for you?" I saw Amara blushing lightly, "I would like the same thing please." The waitress nodded and said she would be right back and to think about what we wanted to eat, "How do you like it so far?" I gestured to the restaurant we were in. "I love it, plus our waitress said I was pretty so I like her too." She let out a little giggle, goddess I love her giggle and her laugh. 

    Our waitress came and went as we ordered, Amara order fettuccini alfredo and I ordered a steak. Our date went by faster than I would have liked, we enjoyed our food and had small, light conversations throughout our meal. I found out her favorite color is Orange, and so far her favorite food is anything potato, I also noticed that one of her eyes is slightly a different shade than the other. She is just the definition of perfect and I love her already. After we were done eating we hopped back into my hummer and started to drive home, "I hope the date was okay, I know it wasn't much but..." She just smiled and cut me off, "I loved the date, to me it was perfect and I loved every moment of it." I let out a sigh of relief, I'm glad she enjoyed our date. The drive back home was pretty quiet but I didn't mind, I just love being in her presence.

    When we got home she grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me up the stairs, "What are you doing?" a laughed nervously. She looked back and grinned mischievously, "You'll just have to see." I gulped, does she want to do what I think she does? No, she wouldn't want to mate with me yet, who am I kidding. When we reached our floor she pulled me down the hall and into her room, she pulled me towards the bed and pushed me down gently while simultaneously kissing me possessively. "I want you, all of you," she said in between kisses. I stopped and pulled away, "Are you sure? I don't want you to feel press-" She cut me off with another hungry kiss, her eyes turning black with lust. "Yes, I'm sure! Both Leigha and I have been discussing it all week, we want this." That was all I needed to hear before I gave in, my own eyes turning black with lust, I pulled her up more on her bed and rolled on top of her.

    I started kissing her passionately and started kissing down to her neck, where I'm going to mark her tonight, I slid up her dress and pulled it over her head. She lifted up my shirt and I threw it off my head, I took a good look at her body, I loved it, every part of her I loved.
