Captured Fate

Chapter 6

[Maggie's POV]

    Derek, Natalie, Skyler, my husband, and I were sitting quietly in the meeting room on the first floor with two members of the council, Elder Howard and Elder Kaitlyn, waiting patiently for Dominik to get my son and Amara. After about five minutes of waiting, Brian walked in with Amara by his side, and Dominik following behind them, closing the door before sitting down. Elder Howard looked towards Amara, "You must be Amara, I'm sure that this probably has you confused and worried." he gestured towards everyone in the meeting room. "Yes sir, my name is Amara, and yes this has me worried if I'm being honest with you." Brian reached over and held her hand to comfort her. "Well miss Amara, do you mind explaining in your own words how you got here and where you came from?" Elder Kaitlyn asked waiting to write down anything and everything she says. "Well for starters my full name is Amara Lea Foster..." she then went on to describe everything she told us and then in detail what she has been through. "Now Amara, I'm not saying that you are lying or making any of this up, but is there any way you can confirm any of the trauma and torture you have been through? As in any scars that you can or feel comfortable showing us?" Amara looked at Brian nervous and he whispered something in her ear and she nodded her head. She then proceeded to start to lift her shirt but was immediately stopped by elder Kaitlyn. "What are you doing young lady?!" She shouted at Amara. "Miss with all due respect you guys asked if I can show you my scars. That is precisely what I am going to do." Everybody in the room except Brian and Amara dropped their jaws. Amara proceeded to remove her shirt and then her sweat pants, leaving her with nothing on besides a bra, underwear, and socks. 

    Everybody took in what we were looking at. This poor young girl standing in front of us has a scar that seems to start at her left breast and wraps all the way around to her right knee, along with, smaller scars all over her body. Tears started to form in my eyes as I stood up and walked to pull her into a hug. "My sweet child, I am so sorry you had to go through that," I told her while feeling tears stream down my cheeks. I looked around the room to see tears forming or falling from everyone's eyes, along with the elders' faces turning pale. Elder Howard cleared his throat, "Thank you for your time, miss Amara. We will be starting an investigation immediately. I look forward to seeing your wolf when you shift. We will be back this Sunday for the full moon so we can determine with our own eyes if you really are from the White Wolf Pack. In the meantime I would like for you to all keep this on the wraps, we have no clue who could be behind the enslavement of young Amara." he said while looking down at each one of us. We all agreed to keep what happened to Amara and who she might be a secret for now, at least until we know the truth. We all walked out of the meeting room behind the elders who left first. We got done just in time for lunch, which I knew for a fact Amara needed since she lost her breakfast this morning. 

[Amber's POV]

    As I just started eating my lunch I saw Brian walking to the kitchen with that girl, I think her name is Amara or something, I could see him kissing her on her neck and laughing with her. If he really has found his mate and that is her, I have to respect that. The moon goddess wanted them together and who am I to disrespect the moon goddess' choice? "Ugh, can you believe that b***h?" Shelby snarled clearly irritated. Everybody in my friend group has slept with Brian, Shelby was the most recent one of us to hook up with him maybe about a month ago? "He's probably just going to lead her on, as he did with us, and sleep with her then toss her to the side since he still hasn't found his stupid mate." my friend Malorie laughed. I decided to stay quiet about what he told me this morning, it's their business to tell people not me. 

    Just as I was about to say something we were all interrupted by brian, "Excuse me, everyone, I have an announcement to make!" he boomed with his alpha voice. Once all eyes were on him he cleared his throat, "I have found my mate, your future Luna," He gently grabbed Amara's hand and gestured to her, "Many of you have already met her, and for those of you who have not, this is Amara." Her face turned beet red as each and every one of us who were eating stared at her. After our confrontation this morning I knew that I would have to get in her good graces, so I flashed a warm smile towards her and she smiled back. "Thank you, that is all, you may all go back to eating and conversing." I didn't even have to look at Shelby, Malorie, or Lana to know that they were all fuming.

    "Are you f*cking kidding me?!" Lana sneered, "Who does this b***h think she is?" Malorie joined her in protest. "He is supposed to be MY mate, I gave my all to him. He took my virginity for crying out loud!" Shelby started to go ballistic. "Jeez, Shelby you knew It was just a hook up for him like the rest of us were, why would you give your virginity to him?" I snapped at her, I didn't think she was crazy enough to think he would make her his mate. "WHAT? I love him and he is supposed to love me back!" she whined and shot me a heinous look. "I have to find a way to get rid of her! She's manipulating him into thinking he's her mate!" she said in a hushed tone. "But wouldn't that be hypocritical of you?" Lana asked with her head c*cked sideways. "No! He is supposed to make me his mate and I become the Luna of this pack!" This b***h really was crazy and I no longer wanted to be a part of this group, but if she was going to do something to our future Luna I had to find out.

[Amara's POV]

    I was a bit overwhelmed with telling everybody but Brian and I agreed it would be best. I think what caught me off-guard the most was seeing Amber send me a genuinely warm smile, I sent one back to her but I was confused by her motives behind it. When Brian and I sat back down I was finally able to eat some really good food, and I desperately needed it after throwing up my breakfast. As I was eating I decided to talk to Leigha.

Hey, how are you feeling about telling the pack?

Excited! I cannot wait to finally shift and become a family with this pack, We haven't had a real family in a long time.

I wonder what you look like

We will find out this weekend 

    "Are you okay?" Maggie asked me, "yeah, I'm just conversing with Leigha asking her how she feels about telling the pack." I said with a smile on my face. "And how does Leigha feel about it?" Jackson asked me, "She says she is excited to finally shift and become a part of a family again." I gave him a sad smile. One thing Leigha and I agreed on, we wanted to shift so that we could finally figure out who we truly are.

    Today is Sunday and Leigha and I are so excited to shift tonight, the entire elder council will be present for it because of the fact that I might be from White Wolf Pack. Next Saturday is my Luna ceremony, Brian and the others are ecstatic about it. However, I've come to notice that not everybody is happy that I will be the Luna, I've noticed Amber's friend Shelby lurking around this week. Brian told me that he hooked up with her about a month or so ago. That entire group he has hooked up with, and it does make me jealous and a little hurt thinking about him with anybody else, but that was before I got here when I was still imprisoned by my captors. The elders who are working on my case still have not found anything on where I was or who took me. Honestly, I just want to forget about what happened, although the scars and constant nightmares that I have make it impossible.

Leigha how much longer until we can shift? 

Well we shift when the moon is at its highest, so around midnight 

    I nodded my head and looked at the clock, 5:38 in the evening. this wait will be agonizing. I figured I could take a nap until dinner at eight, this way time will move by faster. I laid down and snuggled up under my comforter, my eyes started to get heavy until I drifted into a deep sleep.

[FLASHBACK/DREAM]

    Mommy and Daddy put me in my booster seat as they gave my face loads of kisses, "Mommyyyy, Dadddyyyy stooopppp." I was giggling as they kept giving me kisses on my face, "Okay Hunny Bunny, I love you." mommy said with a smile, I loved her smiles they were so pretty. "I love you princess." Daddy said while giving my forehead one last kiss. "I love you both so, so much!" I replied back before they laughed and got into the front seats of the car. Daddy started the car and turned on the ac, it was summertime right now so we were getting pretty hot. 

    We were driving home from the fair, daddy was always very careful when driving, he says that you always want to be careful because an animal might jump in front of you while driving, you always have to be aware and alert. "Hey princess?" daddy looked at me through the rearview mirror, "yes daddy?" "Did you have a good day today?" he asked me while looking back at the road, "yes daddy I had a very good day thanks to you and mommy" I said while giggling. "I'm glad you had a great day Hunny Bunny, we love you." mommy said and looked back at me, mommy was so pretty, she looked like an older version of me but with hazel eyes instead of blue. "I love you both too, daddy are we almost home?" "Not yet princess, about thirty more minutes." daddy was smiling making me happy. I love it when mommy and daddy smile and are happy, it makes me happy. "What the f**k are they doing?!" daddy shouted looking at something in the road. 

    All of a sudden our car was jolted off the road, rolling down the mountainside. This scared me and made me dizzy, "MOMMY, DADDY" I screamed as we kept rolling and tumbling. "It's going to be okay, we love you!" mommy said while holding onto the top handle of the car. "Princess we will be okay I love you." daddy finished saying just as we came to a stop, a tree branch impaled both mommy and daddy and there was blood everywhere. "DADDY, MOMMY," I screamed, crying unbuckling my seatbelt. I moved over to where they were, both of them coughing up blood, "we love you" they said while holding my face with their free arms, that's when the backseat opened and some big man grabbed me and pulled me back. "NO, MOMMY, DADDY DON'T-" the man put a cloth over my mouth and nose and everything went black.

[FLASHBACK/DREAM END]

    I jolted awake, holding my chest because it hurt from the dream, what happened, was that a dream or a memory?

That was a memory 

    I was stunned, then I started to shake and cry, my mom and dad died and I was taken. Anytime I closed my eyes, all I could see was their bodies with a tree branch impaling them. My heart hurt and I could no longer breathe, I was grabbing my chest trying to gasp for air when I saw my door burst open, everything went black.
