Captured Fate

Chapter 12

[Leigha’s POV]

    Amara gave me full reign and is now resting in the back of my mind. I watched and waited as the little pup Jude shifted, it took an hour and a half of hearing his little cries and screams before he was finally shifted. “What’s your name little pup?” I asked the small she-wolf standing before me. She was black with a jade green hue, with diamond blue eyes, much like my own. “My name is Delilah,” she bowed her small head. I could feel my mate coming up from my right side, “Chaos, my love. This little wolf is Delilah,” I said to him as he nestled his nose in my neck. He took his nose out of my neck and turned to Delilah, “It is nice to meet you, little Delilah,” he said and followed it by licking her head. “Mother hasn’t said much to me, she just told me we needed to shift and you will be our protector,” the little she-wolf stated. “Well, you are a Jade wolf and that makes you special, the pack currently has visitors still so let’s keep this quiet for now.” I licked her small little head and looked to my friends who were with us, “I might be their protector, but you all know their secret. So as friends and family, I ask of you to keep this child a secret for now and help me with protecting them.” One by one they all nodded their heads and vowed to protect Jude and Delilah with their lives.

    Jade wolves are extremely rare and collectors price them very high. I know that Amara doesn’t know much about this, but as a royal wolf mother taught me well and she still comes to see me quite frequently. This child wolf will forever have a target hanging over them. I looked down to Delilah with sadness in my eyes for her and Jude, “It’s time to shift back now my child, you can always call out to me through our protector link if you and Jude find yourself in trouble, Amara may not hear you but I always will.” I licked her head before bringing Amara back and letting her know I plan on shifting back. I nodded my head towards everyone and they all started to shift back, I looked down to Delilah and let her know it would be okay before shifting back with her and giving reign back to Amara.’

[Omega’s POV]

    I was doing my normal rounds on the lower floors of the pack house, where the pack’s guests were currently residing. Just as I was about to knock on one of the visiting alpha’s door, I heard shouting coming from inside. I know it’s none of my business but I was just so curious, I had to eavesdrop. “NO KADEN, I DON’T GIVE A F*CK IF THE ELDER COUNCIL IS HERE I’M TAKING MY AMARA WITH ME TONIGHT WHETHER SHE LIKES IT OR NOT! I WILL HAVE HER AS MY MATE AND THAT’S FINAL!” I heard the man shouting through the door, oh my goodness I need to get out of here and warn the alpha and luna, just as I was turning on my heels and open the mind link his door swung open. “And where do you think you’re going?!” He asked in a cold, sharp voice. “I figured you were busy since your door was closed alpha.” I bowed my head while keeping my eyes closed, he could not find out that I was trying to reach the alpha of my own pack. 

    “You didn’t happen to overhear anything, did you?” He sneered into my ear, I gulped as I was about to reply I finally was able to reach my alpha, “Alpha he’s planning on taking the Luna protec-” before I could finish warning the alpha, I felt the worst pain I have ever experienced, I felt my own neck snap and my windpipe collapse. He started to drag me into his room as I was fading out, choking on my own blood and pain. “I really hope that I was able to stop whatever you were saying in your pretty little head before it was too late.” He whispered in my ear just as everything went black.

[Brian’s POV]

    I had only heard part of what this pack-member said before she cut out, but it was more than enough to have me enraged. “We need to get you two protected and back home, NOW!” I grabbed my mate’s hand and scooped Jude up into my arms, “Baby what’s going on?” Amara asked me as I was walking with her hand in hand, “Somebody just told me through our pack link that a ‘he’ is planning on taking you Amara, I don’t know who but I cannot reach the girl who told me, and she was cut off before she could finish. But she sounded scared and distressed. We need to get you two-” Before I could finish my own explanation I felt the death of a pack member, an omega to be exact. I clutched my chest and took a few deep breaths in, everybody around me felt it, including little Jude in my arms.

    I held onto him tight, “It will be okay little one, I know it hurts but we need to get you two home and safe.” I kissed his little forehead and told him to hold on tight, I looked to my mate indicating we need to run back to the pack house, before I knew it we were sprinting back home with Jude in my arms. I sounded the pack alarm through the pack link and told Dominik, Skyler, Amber, Natalie, and Derek to meet us in our room but find and let the elder council know to meet us in there for an emergency meeting. I would do it myself but there is know way in hell I’m going to leave my mate and this special little wolf alone. Not when I know somebody is after my Luna.
