Chapter 19
After eleven months, and five phone calls to Romania, Jason found himself sealing the first fifty pages of his manuscript along with an inquiry letter in a manila envelope. He mailed it to twenty-five publishing companies. Within four weeks, he had received 21 rejection letters and no response from the other four. It was then he decided to self-publish the book. Six-months after he received the books, he had only sold about 1000 copies, barely covering the printing cost. Then one evening he answered a phone call at home and heard an astonishing message.
“Hello. We’re trying to contact Jason Campbell who wrote the book Just Call Me Ingrid.”
