Brooklynne's POV:
The next morning I got up, got dressed and brushed my teeth, and went downstairs. I was hoping to see Mr. Hawkins but he wasn't downstairs anywhere that I could see. Of course, he could be in one of those rooms he has locked and if he is, hopefully, I will see him if he exits them. I needed to talk to him about school and I hope he didn't take off already this morning. I didn't think I had slept in too late, after all, it's before Tatum gets here at eight. I went ahead and got myself some breakfast and ate it out on the patio since the morning was already warming up from the rain the night before.
I kept watching the time waiting for him to come out of his room. I don't know why but I feel like he is still in there. I want to let him rest since I don't know how
