Chapter 18At many of the centers we visited, we were shown exactly what workers did throughout their shifts, and spent time stationed with someone for a more in-depth look. It helped us when testing for the career—if we were bored at the center, we knew we would never want to hold such a position for the rest of our lives, so we tried desperately to fail the test. Sometimes it worked, but sometimes our desire for a particular job might have made us too anxious to pass the test and we’d fail it, anyway. Look at Lyra’s Monitor test.
