Once Jack walks in the door, the Lieutenant calls him into his office. Edgard giggled as he walked past him. The Lieutenant screamed at Jack, “Have a seat.” Jack tried to talk but the Lieutenant didn’t let him speak, “What is wrong with you? Don’t let that clown ruin your reputation. You know that he wants your job, don’t give it to him. At least make him fight for it.” Jack lowered his head and nodded. The Lieutenant got close to him and asked him, “Is everything okay? You are losing your temper a lot lately.” Jack looked at the Lieutenant and answered, “he just knows what to say to get me angry.” The Lieutenant asked Jack to lay low for a while and asked him to pay for the damage to Edgard's car. He explained to Jack that he was lucky that Edgard wasn’t going to press charges. Edgard just wanted Jack to pay to fix the dent he made when he punched the car. Jack nodded and promised that he would control himself better.
The Lieutenant then sat down and told Jack, “There is something else.” Jack looked at the Lieutenant confused. The Lieutenant explained that Hanna, Jack’s mother, had called him to have him talk to Jack about his s****l life, “ Your mom said that there are rumors at the church of you having s*x with Alanna in public places.” The Lieutenant asked Jack, “Please be careful with what you do. It seems as when you are with Alanna, your life is turned upside down.” Jack smiled and answered, “She is a force of nature, and I don’t mind all the headache as long as I’m with her.” The Lieutenant rubs Jack’s head like a kid and tells him, “Just be careful.” The Lieutenant open his office door and let Jack out. Jack went into his office and closed the door.
A week went by, and Jack and Alanna continued to spend the afternoon at Jack’s house. They try not to get carried away in front of Laura. They even tried to keep the noise down in the room and at work Jack avoided Edgard as much as he could. Jack felt good until Monday morning. His mother found out that Jack had Mondays off and Alanna was working all day, so she took the opportunity to pay Jack a visit. Jack was at the pool with Hunter when the doorbell rang. He asked Laura if she could answer the door.
A familiar voice called on Jack. He turned around to find his mother at the edge of the pool. She called Hunter but he didn’t recognize her. Jack started walking out of the pool and asked Laura to take Hunter inside. Then he grabbed a towel and began to dry himself. He walked past his mother towards the bar and asked her, “what are you doing here?” He poured a cup of whiskey and sat down staring at his mother. His mother answered, “I came to see you.” Jack took a sip and looked at her suspiciously. Then he asked her to sit down.
The drink didn’t feel strong enough when his mother started talking. Hanna went right to the point, “Why do you insist on being with that woman? She is not for you.” Jack emptied his cup and poured himself another cup, but this time full to the top. Jack calmly sits down again and smiles. His mother became furious, “I’m serious, she is a bad woman, and I don’t like what she is doing to you.” Jack slammed the cup on the armrest and spilled some of the drink. Then he got up and said, “Is that all you came to say? You can leave now.” He pointed at the door as he walked away. Hanna then screamed, “That woman is the devil.” Jack turned around and laughed. He went back and stood in front of his mother. Then, with a calm voice, he told her, “Mom, I’m not going to allow you to come into my house and talk about the woman I love. Yes, I love her. You have no idea of the kind of woman she is. You wish you could be half the woman she is.” Hanna smacked Jack. She was so offended that she didn’t say anything else, she just walked away.
Jack saw Laura standing in the dining room. Jack walked by Laura without saying a word, then he went to his room and stayed there the rest of the day. Alanna arrived after work with ice cream for everyone, even Laura. She walked in the door and was surprised to see all the lights off so early and the door wasn’t locked. Laura heard a noise so she went out of her room. Alanna asked her where Jack and Hunter were. Laura explains that Hunter was tired of swimming and Jack had a discussion with his mother and hasn’t left the room since then. Alanna peeked in the room and saw Jack sleeping, so she closes the door and goes back to the kitchen. She tells Laura, “Well, I guess we have to finish this ice cream alone because the boys are sleeping. Laura smiled and nodded.
The two ladies went outside to eat the ice-cream next to the pool. Alanna saw the whiskey bottle open, so she closed it. Then she asked Laura, “was the argument about me?” Laura nodded. Alanna bangs her fist at the bar and looked away. Laura thought she saw Alanna’s eyes tearing up, but she turned away too fast, so she wasn’t sure, but then she saw Alanna wiping her face before turning back at her and smiling. Laura could see her eyes red, but Alanna tried hard to hide it. Alanna threw her ice cream away and opened a bottle of wine. She took two glasses out and offered one to Laura, who refused, so she poured herself a tall glass of wine. Alanna told Laura that she could go if she wanted. Laura felt bad and decided to stay with her. Laura ate her ice cream quietly as Alanna drank her cup of wine.
The dining room light turned on. They looked into the dining room and found Jack eating his ice cream, walking towards them with Hunter in his arms. Alanna put the cup down and ran to them with a big smile. Jack kissed her and thanked her for the ice cream. They all went back outside to eat the ice cream while Alanna finished her wine. Jack asked Alanna, “My love, why didn't you wake me up?” Alanna explained that she wanted to let him rest. Laura grabbed Hunter and set him down to eat his ice cream. Jack grabbed Alanna and sat her on his lap. Alanna wrapped her hands around his neck and kissed him. She kissed him on his neck, then she bit his shoulders and Jack slid his hand up her leg under her skirt. Then Alanna stops and looks at Jack’s eyes. Jack licks his lips and whispers, “You make me so happy.” Tears ran down Alanna’s face. Jack wiped them off and said to her, “I love you.” They began to kiss passionately and forgot Laura was there. Laura took Hunter inside and finished feeding him the ice cream in the kitchen.
Jack saw Laura take Hunter so he grabbed Alanna and laid her on the big couch. He limbed between her legs and laid on top of her. Jack kissed Alanna softly and passionately. They held each other for a long time. Alanna stopped and whispered into Jack’s ear, “I don’t want to cause you any more problems.” Jack stood up and pulled Alanna up with him. He grabbed her face and told her, “Alanna, I need you in my life. If someone has a problem with us being together, that is their problem”. Alanna kissed him and hugged him.
Jack and Alanna walked into the kitchen and found Hunter. The whole countertop was covered with ice cream. Laura was weary when she saw their faces. She immediately began to clean the mess. Alanna laughs and grabs some of the ice cream and rubs it on Jack's chest. Jack grabbed some ice cream and rubbed it on Alanna’s shirt. Alanna screams, “you are going to pay for this.” She grabbed Hunter and began to chase Jack around, threatening to rub Hunter all over him. Hunter laughs and. Alanna finally got Jack into the bathroom and began rubbing Hunter all over him. Jack grabbed Hunter, who couldn’t stop laughing and kissed his slimy belly. Then they jumped in the shower with the hunter. Alanna took her clothes off. She kept her underwear, and they gave a shower to Hunter together. After the shower, they asked Laura to dress Hunter. Alanna and Jack return to the kitchen to clean up the counter. Laura had fun watching them play around while cleaning the countertop. She didn't even notice that Alanna was in underwear.Once they were done cleaning, Laura offered to take care of him. Alanna and Jack thanked Laura, kissed Hunter and went inside Jack’s room.
