The next day Jack woke up early and went to Hunter’s room. The nanny was already there. Hunter was changed, and was ready to eat. Alanna woke up in an empty bed. She went looking for Jack and found him in Hunter’s room with the nanny. She forgot about the nanny, so she was wearing a see-through silk gown. Alanna said, “good morning." Then she kissed Jack, then Hunter. The nanny awkwardly looked away but didn’t say a word. Jack realized what Alanna was wearing and gave her a hug. Then he whispered into her ear that her gown was seethrough. Alanna laughs and covers herself. She went to the room and changed. Then she met with Jack at the pool, where they did their workout routine.

The nanny watched them as they worked out and flirted. Laura found Alanna shameless. She wondered how a nice guy like Jack ended up with such a woman. Alanna could feel Laura staring at her, so she asked Jack, “Is there something going on with you and the nanny?” Jack frowned and looked at Alanna, “What?” Alanna grabbed his waist and pulled him close. Then she smiled and said, “She can’t take her eyes off me, so I’m guessing she either likes you or likes me.” Jack laughed and kissed Alanna, “She is a very Christian girl. She has a boyfriend who is deployed, that's how she is able to be Hunter's nanny.”

Alanna grabbed Jack’s bottom and gave it a squeeze, “so do you think she would approve of this?” Then she took Jack’s shirt off and pushed him into the pool. Alanna took her pants off and jumped after him. The nanny looked confused as Jack grabbed Alanna and pulled her under the water. Then he went under to kiss her. They emerge kissing. Laura was feeding Hunter, so she had no other option, than to sit and watch Jack and Alanna play in the pool. Alanna splashed Jack and swam away until Jack coughed and pushed her to the edge of the pool. He pressed his body against hers while holding to the edge of the pool. Then, as it happens often. Laura heard them go into the room and shout "I’m taking Hunter to the daycare" as she rushed down the hallway. Jack shouted from his room, “wait... Can you take Alanna too?” Laura was petrified. She couldn’t wait to get out of the house and now she had to take Alanna. Laura replied, "OK" rubbing her face with her hand. Alanna shouted, "I’ll be done in a minute." Laura waited as she contemplated the big mistake she had made working for Jack.

Alanna got ready really fast and thanked Laura for waiting. Jack stays behind getting ready for work. Alanna explained to Laura that Jack was taking her car because they left his at the police station yesterday. Laura didn’t look at Alanna’s face throughout the whole ride. Alanna asked Laura questions about her boyfriend and her family. Laura gave her short and dry answers.

Once they got to the daycare, Alanna helped Laure with Hunter as she brought in his stuff. They took him to his classroom and Alanna asked Laura to go into her office. Laura didn’t know anything about Alanna. She only knew that she was an exhibitionist, so she was worried when Alanna took her to her office. Laura looked around the office and saw pictures of Jack and Hunter. She was more surprised to see Alanna’s name on the desk next to the word, owner.

Alanna asked Laura to take a seat. As usual, Alanna spoke without sugar-coating things, “I don’t like this awkwardness between us. Jack has told me that you are great with Hunter, and for what I have seen, you are. I hope you keep being his nanny for a long time, so I think we need to clear the air. I imagine that it cannot be easy being around me if every time you see me, I’m almost naked, we will be working on that.” Laura smiled and blushed. Alanna continued, “I’m seriously sorry. Jack and I forget about the world when we are together, but we are going to be more careful around you.”

Laura cleared her through and asked, “are you, his girlfriend or his fiance?” Alanna smiled, “Non.” Laura looked down again and said, “I’m sorry.” Alanna smiled and said, “don’t be sorry we have love, the rest we figure out as we go.” Laura was amazed of how loosely Alanna talked about her relationship. Laura took a deep breath and said, “I have known Jack for a long time and have never seen him act the way he acts around you.” Alanna asked, “Do you think I’m a bad influence?”

Fear was all over Laura’s face when she answered, “not technically. He has some questionable behavior, but he looks happy.” Alanna exhales relieved, “I try to make him as happy as he makes me.” Alanna then stood up and asked Laura if she wanted a tour. Laura was afraid to say no so she agreed. Alanna showed her around. They finished their tour at Hunters classroom. Hunter saw Alanna and Laura and cried for them. Alanna took Laura into the classroom, she picked up Hunter, gave him a kiss and let Laura carry him for a little bit. On the wayout, Alanna offered Laura a job. Alanna told Laura that once she was done being Hunter’s nanny she could come and work for her. She had Jack's recommendation and Alanna valued that more than any fancy resume.

Laura left the center conflicted. She judged Alanna by the rumors and gossip, but after meeting her she didn’t seem so bad, a little too liberal but not as bad as they made her out to be. Laura sat in her car and called her mother as she did every day. The only way her mother allowed her to work for Jack was if she called her every day to make sure she was fine.

After hanging up the phone, a woman approached Laura’s car. It was Hunter’s teacher, Daisy. Daisy told Laura not to trust Alanna that she was called the maneater for a reason. She told Laura Hunter’s dad had been played, and he was too nice to notice. Laura started to think that Alanna was just trying to butter her up. Laura was confused and worried.

Jack arrives at the station in Alanna’s car and finds his car with the windshield covered in open condoms. He rushed to clean it up before going into the building. He was received with claps and fist pumps when he entered, but someone said, “Can I have a turn now? That maneater was hot.” The room got quiet. Jack scanned the room looking for who had said that. Then he saw an unfamiliar face laughing.

Jack walked to the guy and asked him, “Do you have something to say?” The guy was clearly not a match of strength and Jack didn’t care for that big man standing in front of him. He smiled and told Jack, “Isn’t she public property? You had your turn now. Can I get mine?” Jack didn’t think. He was going to punch the guy when the Lieutenant stepped between them and asked Jack into his office. Jack fixed his shirt and walked away into the Lieutenant’s office.

The Lieutenant asked Jack to sit down and relax. He explained that that new officer had been sent as his replacement. Jack became upset. He punched the Lieutenant's desk and asked, “What do you mean?” The lieutenant explained that due to Jack’s violent incident he’s record had been marked and they were considering this clown as the new Lieutenant. He has a perfect record, Jack. You can’t let him get under your skin; they are still considering him. It is not official. I’m hoping that they find something about him too. You deserve this position. It is not fair that one incident can erase so many years of great police work. Jack tapped Bill’s shoulder and told him, “Don’t worry, I’m not going to let this clown bother me.” Bill was happy to hear that, but then he remembered about the scene he walked into the day before. The Lieutenant then told Jack, “Son, you can’t be doing things like… you know.” Jack rubbed his face embarrassed and apologized. He promised that it would not happen again.

Jack left the Lieutenant's office, and the guy was waiting for him. Jack stared at him as he walked to his office but didn’t say anything. Then the guy said, “I was kidding. I don’t mess around with trash.” Jack couldn’t take it. He rushed to the guy and lifted him up by his shirt. Then he said to him, “you won’t talk about Alanna like that, I will lose my badge, but I’ll enjoy beating the crap out of you.” The guy’s smile was gone immediately and when Jack let him go, he walked away mumbling to himself. Jack went into his office and closed the blinds. He didn’t want anyone to see how much it affected him hearing those things about Alanna.
