2169 Words
After Jack saw Matthew at Alanna’s house, he was upset with himself. He felt guilty for sleeping with Alanna. Jack knew what being cheated felt like and he hated doing it to someone else. Jack didn’t answer Alanna’s phone call. He went straight to the hospital to be with Hunter. Jack knew that he couldn’t control himself around Alanna, so he decided to avoid any contact with her. He didn’t want to be the one getting between a couple's relationship. He also didn’t want to be the one who instigated Alanna to become a cheater. He knew she felt very strongly about cheating. After Jack ignores her phone call, Alanna becomes confused. She didn’t understand what was happening. She wondered if he was still interested in her. Alanna felt rejected and was upset about it. She couldn’t tell what Jack wanted anymore. One minute he is having passionate s*x with her and the other he is ignoring her. Alanna went to work and hoped that work would distract her from thinking about Jack. Sadly, for Alanna, it was a very slow and boring day. She had so much free time to think about Jack. By the end of the day, Alanna was furious with Jack, for the way he had been treating her. She has been trying so hard to be there for him and give him time to think, but she is getting worried that Jack is just using her. Alanna worries that Jack doesn’t love her anymore and is just having a good time with her. The uncertainty is destroying Alanna. She wants to confront Jack. She wanted him to tell her why he had been so dismissive of her? She needs to know why he is acting the way he is acting. At the end of the day, Alanna can’t deal with it anymore and decides to find Jack and talk to him. She thought that talking to him in person was a better idea than calling him. Alanna was hoping to see his reaction face to face, so she could find out if he still loved her. Alanna finished work early. Left Daisy in charge and went to Jack's house to talk to him. She didn’t find him at his house, so she waited a little bit outside his house. Alanna sat in her car park in front of Jack’s house waiting for him to arrive. The sun went down. Alanna realized that it was dark, and she looked at the clock to see what time it was. She realized that she had been waiting for Jack for two hours. Alanna felt ashamed. She had become a stalker. She never thought that she would be the woman that waits around for a man. She had never felt so inadequate and embarrassed. Alanna began to turn her car around to leave and she saw a car coming. It wasn’t Jack's car. Alanna tried to see inside the car to see who it was, but it was too dark. She started to think about excuses for her being there. She wondered whose car it was. As the car got closer, Alanna could see that it was a woman. Alanna kept turning her car around slowly. Rave took over her. She has never experienced jealousy. She didn’t know how to deal with it. Alanna died of curiosity to see who the woman parking at Jack’s house was. She stopped her car to wait for the woman to come out of her car. She wanted to see who it was. She wanted to see why the woman was spending time with the man she loved. Alanna became sweaty. She took her jacket off and opened a few buttons of her shirt. She put the air conditioner higher, but it wasn’t enough. She was burning from the inside. Alanna was getting tired of waiting for the woman to come out of the car. She put her glasses on trying to see inside the car, but she couldn’t see any better. It was a very dark night and Jack didn’t let the outside lights on. Alanna began to feel awkward and decided that she should leave before Jack arrived and found her being a stalker. Suddenly, Alanna spots Jack’s car approaching in the distance. Alanna lost interest in seeing the woman. Her chest hurts and she wants to cry thinking about Jack with someone else. She decides to drive away but is too late. Jack’s car is next to hers. Alanna was angry. She didn’t want to look at Jack for the rear of exploiting wanted to yell at Jack for making her feel the way she was feeling. Then she looked at Jack’s car and saw a car seat in the back. Jack beeps the horn and Alanna looks at his face. Jack was smiling. All the anger and pain Alanna was feeling went away. Seeing Jack’s smile made everything better. She even forgot about the woman that was waiting for Jack. Jack asked her with a big smile, “What are you doing here?” Alanna nervously began to open her mouth to give him one of the excuses she had thought about earlier, but a woman’s voice interrupted her. “Alanna is that you?” Alanna looks toward the house and finds Mary standing in front of Jack’s house. Alanna turned pale. She wasn’t expecting Mary to be at Jack’s house. Alanna felt embarrassed about all the bad things she thought about Mary, when she thought Mary was another woman. Jack told Alanna, “have dinner with us. We are celebrating that Hunter came out of the hospital.” Alanna didn’t know what to do, she felt as if Jack was giving her mixed messages again. Mary began to walk towards the cars and called out, “Jack, don’t let her leave. Tell her to stay and have some food.” Jack smiled at Alanna and licked his lip, “you heard the boss. Park next to her car and stay.” Alanna did as Jack asked. She couldn’t say no to him and she was excited about seeing Hunter. Alanna parked and followed Jack and Mary inside the house. Once inside, Alanna rushed to the car seat. Se took it from Jack asking, “Can I see him?” Jack smiled and replied, “well you already took him away from me, so I guess, yes.” Alanna smiled and took the car seat to Hunter's room. She saw that Hunter was sleeping, so she carefully took him out of the car seat and laid him on his bed. Hunter was sleeping so deep that he didn’t react to Alanna moving him. Alanna kissed his head, turned off the light, and left the room. She bumped into Jack, who was coming into the room. Jack checked her, “Are you okay?” Alanna smiled and told him that she was fine. Then she asked him where he wanted the car seat? Jack looked at the empty car seat and asked Alanna, “where is Hunter?” Alanna grabbed his hand and took him to Hunter's crib. Then she explained, whispering, “He was asleep, so I put him in his bed.” Jack looked at Hunter peacefully sleeping and wrapped an arm around Alanna. Jack whispered, “ Thank you, he is taking a medicine that makes him very sleepy.” Mary walked inside the room and saw Jack and Alanna embrace standing next to the crib watching Hunter sleep and she said, “Aww, you guys look like a family.” Jack looked at Alanna and smiled. Alanna became more confused. She wonders what Jack wants. They all leave the room quietly to let Hunter rest. Mary hugs Alanna and tells her, “I’m happy to see you guys together again.” Alanna and Jack share a look and say, "we are not together" in unison. Mary laughs, “you guys are too cute finishing each other’s sentences. Jack walks to the kitchen and grabs dishes for everyone. Mary grabs the takeout bags, and they move to the table. They eat and Jack updates Mary and Alanna about Hunter's condition. Before they noticed, they finished a bottle of wine and the food was all gone. Mary went outside for another bottle of wine and Alanna thought that it was a good time to talk to Jack. Alanna asks Jack if they could talk. Jack took a deep breath and nodded. Alanna struggles to put her ideas together, so she blurts out, “I can’t do this anymore.” Jack walks to her and grabs her hand. He licks his lip and tells Alanna, “I know.” Mary walks into the room holding a bottle of wine. Mary saw the tension in the room and exclaimed, “cheer up, Hunter is home. It is time to celebrate.” Mary began to pour more wine and Alanna stopped her from pouring more into her cup. Alanna tells Mary, “No more for me. I have to drive home.” Mary moved Alanna’s hand out of the way and told her, “You are not driving tonight. What kind of officer will Jack be if he lets you drive after the two generous cups of wine you drank?” Jack replied, “She is right. Alanna, you can stay.” Alanna looked at Jack’s eyes and asked, “Are you sure? I don’t want to impose.” Mary grabbed Alanna’s hand and took her to the pool area, telling her, “he said that it is fine so drink and celebrate.” Mary took her to the sitting area next to the pool. Alanna sat next to Mary. Mary didn’t let go of Alanna’s hand. She drinks from the bottle with one hand and held Alanna’s hand with the other. Jack joined them. They finished another bottle. Jack didn’t drink anymore. He wanted to be sober if Hunter woke up. Mary and Alanna drank and joked all night and Jack sat quietly. Hunter cried and Jack rushed to check on him. The bottle of wine was empty, and Mary said that she was going to get another. Alanna pulled her back to the chair. She told her that she had enough. Mary tried to get up again but became dizzy. Alanna told her, “I think you had enough too.” Mary laughed and then began to cry. Alanna wrapped her arm around her and asked, “What's wrong Mary?” Mary sighed and said, “Before I came here I went to see my mother and she was going on and on about me hurrying up to find a husband and I couldn’t handle it anymore, so I told her!” Alanna asked, “told her what?” Mary caresses Alanna’s face and replies, “That I like women.” Then Mary shouted, “She smacks me and kicked me out of her house. She told me that I’m a sinner and disgusting.” Alanna embarrassed Mary and tells her, “I’m sorry.” Mary cries in Alanna’s arms and Alanna comforts her. Mary caressed Alanna’s face again. She licks her lip as Jack does and tells her, “Alanna, you are amazing.” Then Mary kisses Alanna and Alanna kisses her back. Jack finds Mary and Alanna kissing and exclaims, “Mary, what are you doing?” Alanna looks at Jack. Her eyes were wide and she had a big smile. Alanna stands up and tries to walk to Jack. Jack rushes to hold her before she falls, and Alanna holds on to Jack. She caresses his chest and tells him, “I’m sorry. I don’t know how that happened.” Jack tells Alanna in an angry tone, “you guys are drunk. That is what happened.” Jack took Alanna to his room. He took her shoes and pants off and laid her on his bed. Alanna grabbed him and began to kiss him. Jack pulled away from her, and told her that he would be right back. Jack took his sister to the guest room and laid her on the bed. Mary called, “Jack, I’m sorry. I know how much you love her. I didn’t mean to.” Jack took her shoes off and told her, “We will talk tomorrow after you are sober.” Jack goes back to his room and finds Alanna sleeping naked. Jack grabs a blanket to cover Alanna. She wakes up after he covers her. Alanna grabs Jack’s arms and pulls him into bed. Alanna begins to kiss Jack and tells him, “get into bed, love. I need you.” Jack got into bed with Alanna and began to take his clothes off. Alanna climbs on top of him and began to kiss him all over. Jack began to get aroused when suddenly Alanna fell to sleep on top of Jack. Jack pulled the blanket over them and went to sleep holding Alanna on top of him.
