Alanna arrived home after spending so much time at Jack’s house. Her house felt unfamiliar. She goes straight to her room deep in thoughts. She was still in shock after learning that Jack’s wife had cheated on him. She couldn’t even imagine why. She has never met a woman, but she knows Jack, and that man is enough man for any woman. She cleans her room while thinking of her experience with Jack’s family. She had hoped to meet them one day and hoped for a better first impression, but what could she do? She is used to people not liking her. However, Jack always talked about his mother with great admiration, so she worried that his mother's reaction would affect their relationship.
After a long time, Alanna’s phone rang. Alanna ran to it when she saw Jack was calling. She answered and she heard Jack in a joyful mood, “ Could you open the door, it is cold out here?” Alanna ran down the stairs. She could see Jack's silhouette through the door’s glazing. She opened the door and saw his amazing smile. Jack licked his lips and Alanna jumped on him. Showering him with kisses. She was relieved to see him. He closed the door and took her to the sofa. They made out like two horny teenagers.
Jack decided to spend some time with her without having s*x. He wanted to make sure his feelings were real. Jack spends a week at Alanna’s house. He helped her with the business. They enjoyed spending all that time together. Jack realized that without s*x, their relationship was the same. He couldn’t stay away from her and they never ran out of things to talk about. For Jack, just having her safe in his arms was good enough. He did miss the amazing s*x, but taking it off the table didn’t change how he felt about her. He admires Alanna’s strength. He loves how kind she is. He loved how tender and loving she was. What impresses him the most is her compassion for others.
He was finally sure about his feelings. He genuinely loves her and couldn’t imagine his life without her. He was so convinced that Alanna was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with that he proposed to her every day. However, Alanna promised her husband to find love again, but she told him that she would never get married again. Alanna loved Jack but she worried that he was just being impulsive, so every time he proposed she said no.
Alanna questions Jack about his desperation to get married. She didn’t understand how, after having his mother disapprove of their relationship, he still wanted to get married. Jack explained that she had become the most important person in his life, and he was willing to fight the whole world to be with her.
Jack took Alanna in his arms and stopped holding back. He undresses her and kisses every part of her body. He took his clothes off and laid over her body. Their bodies' temperature rises as they kiss passionately. Jack caressed her leg softly. Jack slowly spreads her legs and slides inside her. They moaned into each other’s mouths as they continued to kiss. Alanna grabs on to his back, keeping him close to her, feeling his heartbeat on her chest. Jack inhales Alanna’s breath and moves slowly into her. Their breath became extremely agitated, they began to kiss with wide-open mouths gasping for air. Jack keeps his hand on Alanna’s thigh, softly holding on to her. Their breathing synchronizes with their movement. The more aroused they get, the slower and more precise their movement becomes, as if any student movement will have them detonate. Alanna digs her nails into his back and Jack suddenly stays totally still. Their bodies become rigid and they take a deep breath. They moan as they let the air out and their bodies relax. Alanna opens her eyes and finds Jack looking at her. Staring at her eyes, breathing heavily. Alanna, overwhelmed, kisses him and tells him, “I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you too, but do we have to get married?” Jack smiled and kissed her. He could see her inner struggle, but he could see her love for him and that was all he needed.
That night, Jack received a call to present himself at the headquarters the next day. He was nervous. He went home and picked up his uniform but asked Alanna if he could stay with her. He needed the peace that he always finds in Alanna’s house. The next morning, Alanna helped him get ready and prepare him breakfast. She wished she could accompany him, but she was not allowed to. He gave Alanna a strong hug and left.
Later that day, Jack appears at the funeral home carrying a box of Alanna’s favorite chocolates. He walked into the lobby proud and a little smug. He gave her a big smile and called her over with his finger. Alanna tried to hold it together, but she was so excited. She ran to his arms. Jack hugged her and kissed her in front of everyone. Then Jack whispered in her ear, “They fired Smith and I have been reinstated.” Alanna kissed him again. He told her that he wanted to take her out for dinner with Jackie to celebrate. Alanna nervously accepted. She was wary about who or what they might run into. She didn’t want Jack's happy moment to be ruined by no one.
That night, Jack knocks on Alanna’s door. She opened the door and there he was, wearing gray slacks, black dress shoes, and a black shirt. Alanna bit her lips, desiring him. She hadn’t seen him dressed up since their magical weekend. Jack stares at Alanna. She was wearing her hair down and a strapless tight navy-blue pencil dress that went all the way to her calves. She was wearing five-inch-heeled nude sandal stilettos. Jack looked at her with desire. He couldn’t find words. He quietly kissed her, holding her hand with one hand, he placed his other hand on her lower back. Jack opened the car door and helped her in. Alanna flips her hair back and Jack catches a whiff of her hair. He loves how her hair smells. It transported him to the moment in the morning when he wakes up with Alanna's hair on his face. On the way to the restaurant, Alanna admires Jack. She looks at his shirt tightly outlining his muscles. She looked at his face. He trimmed his beard and had a fresh haircut. She looked at his beautiful sky-blue eyes set on the road. He licks his lips, concentrating on the street. Alanna grabs his arm that is resting on her leg and squeezes it.
Almost a year after they first met, she is still mesmerized by his eyes and his lips. She still goes crazy when he licks his lips. Jack tries to concentrate on the road. He keeps turning to look at her and he is met by her eyes every time. They stared at each other for a sec and then he forced himself to keep his eyes on the road. He can stop thinking of how amazing she looks, and how bad he wants to rip the dress off. He rubs her leg and digs his finger into her.
They arrive at the restaurant and all eyes are on them. They could hear angry mutters. They knew why everybody was talking about it, but they didn't care. They walk in the restaurant proudly and confidently. Jack, slightly behind Alanna, held her by the waist. Jackie was right behind her father, feeling like a third wheel. Jack pulled a chair for Alanna, then one for Jackie across from Alanna. He sits next to Alanna. Alanna watches Jack lick his delicious lips before ordering. She crosses her legs to control her arousal. Jack catches Alanna staring at him and he slides his fingers down her back. Jackie feels awkward watching them drool all over each other. They don’t take their eyes off each other. Jack grabs Alanna and pulls her closer and keeps his hand around her waist. Alanna lays a hand on Jack’s lap and rubs his leg. Jackie tries to look elsewhere. Then she sees her uncle. Jackie calls him, “Uncle John.” Jack’s little brother approaches their table and Jackie stands up to hug him. Jack stood to shake his hand and Alanna said, Hi, avoiding eye contact. Jack invited him to join them. John explained that he was heading out after having to dump a girl, but he didn’t mind having some drinks with them. John sat next to Jackie. He looked at Alanna and remembered, “You are the man-eater, right? I didn’t recognize you with clothes on.” Jack frowned and pointing at his brother demanded, “I won't allow you to talk to Alanna like that.” “chill out bro, I know what happened to the last guy that made you mad. I was just playing.” John said, laughing. Alanna laid her hand on Jack's chest and held him back. Jack looked at her furiously. “Its okay baby. You and me.” Alanna whispered to Jack, caressing his face. Jack relaxed. He remembered the conversation they had before going out in public as a couple. They knew it was going to be hard dating openly, but as long as they were together nothing else mattered. Jack kisses her and orders another round of drinks for the four of them. John made jokes all night. They all had a good time. Jack spends most of his time wrapped around Alanna kissing her shoulders, caressing her back, and holding her close. When they eat, Alanna feeds Jack some of her food and Jack feeds her some of his.
When it was time to go home, John offered to take Jackie home. Jack was happy to relay the responsibility and spend be finally lone with Alanna. He wanted to take Alanna home already. They spent the night whispering what they would do to each other in their ears, so they could not wait to get started. They all said good night and left their separate ways. Jack couldn’t wait to get home with Alanna, so once they got to the car, instead of opening the door for Alanna, he grabbed her and pushed her against the car. He kissed her passionately and pressed himself against her. They made it into the car and Jack started to drive away. Alanna laid her head on his shoulder, wrapping his arm in her arms. Jack placed a hand on her naked knee. He slides her dress up to expose her legs. He rubbed the inside of her leg and found her warm wetness inviting him in. He rubs her harder between her legs. Alanna moans into his ear. Jack rubbed her harder and harder, making her soak wet. Alanna noticed a big bulge on Jack’s pants moving, trying to escape, so she opened his pants and let it free. She used her left hand to thrust him slowly. She then turned to him and exchanged hands. She kissed his neck. Jack moan. He sighed and, moving the panties out of the way, he found a way in. He introduced his fingers and Alanna squeezed her legs together, moaning loudly. Alanna’s face turned red. Jack becomes more aroused and he struggles to drive. He then finds an empty parking lot by the road. Jack gets out of the road and continues inserting his fingers in and out. Alanna uses her mouth now. Their moaning fogs the windows of the car. Jack pushes his seat back and Alanna jumps on him. They uncomfortably quench each other’s desires. The horn was beeping, the windshield turned on and the signal light was signing left. After recovering their breath, they laughed. “I guess we didn't make it to the house?”, Alanna exclaimed. Jack replied, “I just can’t believe that I still have the stamina to keep up with you.”
On the other side of town, John and Jackie talked about the awkward dinner. Jackie felt so uncomfortable seeing her father being so s****l after he was always the prune in the family. She jokes about hearing them having s*x and having to leave the hose and John interrupted, “hearing them, I saw them.” Jackie covers her mouth and screams, “No!” John tells her the story about the day he and his mom coughed them. Jackie tried to avoid picturing them. Then John became serious, “But I’m happy for your dad. He looks happy and that maneater is a hot lady.” Jackie adds, “I didn’t approve of the relationship at first, but she is not what people paint her to be.” Jackie paused and smiled, “And seeing my dad that happy is great.” John laughs, “but you should have seen your grandmother when she saw them. She almost dies.”
The next day, Jack starts back at work. He wakes up tired. All the days he was off he was staying in bed late with Alanna. Jack drags his feet, but Alanna is up and ready. She even got to squeeze in a short workout before getting ready. Alanna leaves Jack the breakfast on the table. She runs upstairs to kiss him before leaving for work. Alanna arrives at work and finds a woman waiting for her. The lady asked, “Alanna?” Alanna answered yes with a smile that she lost immediately after the lady said, “You have been served.” Alanna watched the lady walk away in shock. “ Who is suing me?” she thought. Alanna said good morning to Carol and went into her office. She locked the door behind her, sat on her chair, and placed the closed envelope on her desk. She thought about who could have a reason to sue her, but nothing came to mind, so she opened the envelope. The first thing she noticed was the name of Smith. She had pushed that incident so back in her mind that she forgot about him. She took a deep breath and then read the letter. She was sued for defamation of character. She shucks, “this man has nothing better to do.” Her first thought was to call Jack and tell him, but she remembers that it was his first day back to work and she didn’t want to ruin his day.
At the station, Jack was received with claps and handshakes. Everybody was happy to see him back. Jack walked to the rookie that took the video of Smith and gave him a handshake and said, “Thank you, man.” Jack tried to keep to himself. He settles into his office. The first thing he did was set up his computer screensaver. He downloaded pictures of Alanna and pictures of Alanna with him. He had a picture of Alanna at her desk smiling, another picture of Alanna in his pool, another of Alanna sleeping next to him, and one of Alanna lying on his lap laughing. He had pictures of them together too: one of the pictures had them kissing, another had Alanna biting his chin, another had Alanna hugging him from behind, he had one of them in front of the restaurant that they had just visited, and he had a picture of their hands interlocked. He had a picture of Alanna sleeping that he took the first night they met.
After a few hours, the lieutenant entered his office and closed the door behind him. He didn’t ask to be invited or excused himself. The lieutenant sat on a chair across Jack's desk and stared at him frowning. Jack looked at him puzzled. The lieutenant had known Jack since he was a baby. Jack’s father was his best friend. Jack’s computer caught the lieutenant’s attention. He stared as the picture changed until he saw the first one repeat itself. Then he switches his attention to Jack. Jack was growing more nervous with the suspense. Then the lieutenant spoke, “What are you doing?” Jack looked at him, guessing what he meant. Jack asked, “If this is about Alanna, I will respectfully ask you to please refrain from discussing my personal life.” The lieutenant shook his head, “Jack, that woman is not worth it.” Jack made a fist with his hands and stood up staring at his computer screen. The lieutenant continued, “Look at what she is doing to you. I understand that a woman of her reputation must have a lot of tricks under her sleeve, but you are a decent guy. You need someone like you.” Jack stared at Alanna’s picture. He looked at her sleeping and wondered how people couldn't see who she really was. “Son, you can’t let this woman play with you; she is using you.” The lieutenant said as he approached him and placed his hand on Jack’s shoulder. Jack turned around and looked at him, “You don’t know her.” Jack placed his hand on the lieutenant’s arm, on his shoulder. “She is kind, loving, sweet, caring, giving, funny, and the quality that I admire the most is... how selfless she is,” Jack said with a spark on his eyes. The lieutenant let go of his shoulder and sat down again. “Jack,” he said with pity, “This woman will leave you as soon as she gets tired of you. Do you think she loves you? Do you think you will be able to be happy with a woman like that?” Jack grabbed on to the computer. The picture of Alanna biting him on the chin was on. He looked at the picture for a minute until it faded away. Then he turned around, looked at the lieutenant in the eye and said, “She already makes me happy.” The lieutenant stood up and told him, “I hope you realize what you are doing before you lose yourself.”
The lieutenant left Jack’s office, leaving the door open. Jack plunged into his chair. He covered his face with his hands. He is exhausted from having to defend his relationship. He sits there wondering if there is any hope for them. He wants to go out with Alanna, but so far, they are not welcome anywhere. He lifts his face up, looks at the computer and sees the picture of Alanna sleeping the first time they met. “She was right, everything was better when it was only us.” He thought to himself. Jacked picks up the phone to call Alanna and proposes that they run away together, leaving everything behind when a gentleman enters the office asking for Sergeant Jack. He identified himself and he was served.
Jack opens the envelope and finds out that Smith is suing him for the beating he gave him. Jack becomes furious because he knew what that type of law sued can do to his career. He was a year away from getting a promotion. Now he really wanted to escape with Alanna.
At lunch, he went looking for Alanna. He needed a break from life. He knocked on the back door as always, but nobody answered. Then he hears Alanna arguing with Carol. Carol was furious because Alanna had been sued on top of the IRS giving them a final warning. Carol was yelling, correcting her for being too nice to people. She pointed out that because of her trying to give people what they want without charging more than what they can pay, they are about to lose everything. Carol tells her that no matter how much she loves her, she must draw the line somewhere and her kids need to eat. Carol then goes on and threatens her, “ You start charging people or I’m walking away.” Alanna is quiet during the whole argument. Jack could only hear her at the end saying, “I understand, but please don’t leave. I’ll see how I get the money.” Carol grunted, “well the IRS guy is coming this afternoon, I hope you can come up with the money by then.” Then Jack heard a door slam.
Jack doesn’t know if he wants to bother her now. Jack walks back to his car. Then he sees Homeless Bob approaching Alanna’s back door. Homeless Bob knocks at the door and Alanna answers like always with food in her hand. Alanna gives him the food and then sees Jack. Homeless Bob smiled and said, “look who I found trying to get in.” Jack smiled and walked to Alanna. Alanna’s eyes were swollen and red like she had been crying. Jack held her and asked her if she was crying. Alanna didn’t want to worry him, so she said that it was just a difficult day. She changes the subject by smiling and saying, “guess who is suing me?” Alanna lifts up an envelope from her desk. Jack interrupted, “I bet that it is the same person that is suing me.” Jack laughs and hugs her. He kisses her and all the stress goes away. Their embraces bring them back to their magical world where they don’t have problems, just each other. Alanna tells him, “I’m so happy you came to see me. I needed this hug. Jack kisses her and says, “Don’t worry about Smith, I’ll call my sister. She is a lawyer.” Jack left Alanna with one less problem to worry about.
That afternoon Jack went back to the Funeral Home and stood in the parking lot waiting for the IRS man that was coming to meet with Alanna. He intercepted him before he went in and arranged for the IRS representative to take his money. He covers Alanna’s debt and dismisses him. Alanna stays in her office late, waiting for the IRS man to arrive, but he never did and when she called and acquired information, she was informed that her debt was covered. She was confused but didn’t question anything. She didn’t have the money anyway. When she went home, Jack was sitting at her porch waiting for her with dinner. Alanna smiled, she was incredibly happy to see him. She opened the door, let him in, and followed him inside. Once inside, she pulls Jack’s keys out of his pants, grabs a key from her key holder and adds it to Jack’s keys. Jack looked at her smiling surprise. Alanna hugged him from behind as he served the food and said, “I want you to come and go as you please. Hopefully, there is more coming than going. Pond intended.” They both laugh.
