Blood gushed out of the boy’s neck. The boy fell forward on the floor. Jack ran as fast as he could and picked him up. The boy was still alive. Tears ran down Jack's face as he saw the little boy gasp for air. Jack called for an ambulance on his radio. He asked the officers for something to stop the bleeding, but the officers couldn’t find anything, so he asked one of the officers to give him his undershirt. The officers gave Jack his shirt.
