The Fiancé

He was going crazy thinking about Alanna being so far away. He feared that she would go back to Jack if he wasn’t there. Matthew thought that if he loved Alanna enough, she would forget about Jack eventually. He tries everything. He even worked out more to get stronger like Jack, but he knew that Alanna was still in love with Jack. When Alanna finally accepted his ring, Matthew was ecstatic. He believed that she was finally getting over Jack. Matthew arrived from Dubai earlier than planned to surprise Alanna. He didn’t want to lose her, but she called him Jack during s*x.

Matthew wondered if she thought that he was Jack. He began thinking, “Was she expecting Jack?” Matthew’s blood boiled. He was afraid of being too late. He wonders how Alanna could do something like that to him and then act as if nothing happened. He wished he knew what was happening between Alanna and Jack, but at the same time he was afraid to find out.

Alanna noticed Matthew was upset. She walked to him and hugged him. She knew that he had heard her say, Jack. She knew that he had all kinds of thoughts going through his mind. She knew how jealous he got when it came to Jack, so she hugged him from behind and whispered to his ear, “I will never do anything to hurt you.”

Having Alanna’s arms around him made all of Matthew’s worries go away. He knew the kind of person Alanna was and he knew that if she said that nothing had happened between Jack and her, then nothing had happened. Matthew knew exactly what she had seen and was happy to hear her say it.

Matthew turned around and grabbed Alanna in his arms. He threw her into bed and exclaimed, “I’m going to give you something to dream about.” He pulled up her gown and began to kiss her between her legs. Alanna laughs and moans as Matthew's tongue tickles her. Matthew socks up all her wetness and introduced two fingers into Alanna. Alanna gets up and goes to take a shower. Matthew stays in bed a little longer. He is still suffering from jet lag. In the shower, Alanna thinks about Matthew and how sweet he is. She reminds herself that he is her fiancé, and he is the one she should be with. Alanna decides to tell him that she saw Jack. She doesn’t think is fair for Matthew not to know that she saw him, and she may continue to see him.

After the shower, Alanna got dressed, and was having breakfast when Matthew came down the stairs a little sleepy. He rubbed his eyes as he asked, “what time is it? I thought you left without saying goodbye?” Alanna walked to Matthew and hugged him. She caressed his naked chest as she said, “I was going to kiss your goodbye after breakfast.” Matthew kissed her passionately and started to get excited. Alanna looked down at his naked body and smiled, “You will have to wait for me to come back.” Matthew smiled and asked, “really?”

Then Alanna became serious and asked Matthew if they could talk. Matthew asked her to wait a second. He rushed upstairs and put on his pants. Matthew rushed back down the stairs with a worried face. Alanna was waiting for him on the sofa. She asked him to join her. Matthew slowly approached her with wide eyes. He sat next to her and Alanna grabbed his hand.

Matthew became incredibly agitated and asked her, “please rip it off like a bandage.” Alanna explained that she saw Jack at the daycare because he has a son that goes there. Matthew was confused. She explained that all she knows is that the baby is Susan’s son but nothing else. Matthew was relieved to know that they didn’t talk much. Then Alanna told him that they had talked, and she let Jack know that she was with him. Matthew hugged Alanna. All his fears of her leaving him after seeing Jack again were gone. Now he knew that Alanna was finally his and Jack was not a threat anymore, but then he remembered that she called his name in bed and became worried one more time.

Matthew thanked Alanna for being honest with him and kissed her. Alanna felt guilty for not telling him everything. She left out that her body screamed Jack's name when she saw him. That she was dying to kiss his lips and that they hugged for a long time. Also, she didn’t tell Matthew the part that she knew would break his heart. She didn’t tell him that she had confessed to Jack that she loved him.

She felt better knowing that Matthew knew, and she was committed to staying away from Jack. She was not going to do anything to hurt Matthew.

Alanna kissed Matthew goodbye and left for work. She stopped at the funeral home first to check on the roof work, then she went to the daycare, and fired the director. She hired the young girl to cover for her until she was back, but now that she was back, she didn’t need her anymore. Alanna hated the idea of firing the young girl. She did a great job while Alanna was away, but she had to do it.

Alanna arrived at the daycare right before lunch. She didn’t want to give her the news in the daycare, so she decided to take her out for lunch. Alanna walked into the daycare and said hi to everyone. The director was talking to one of the teachers about a problem with a child, so Alanna told her to meet her at the office after she is done.

The director wonders what Alanna needs to talk to her about. She finished what she was doing quickly and headed to the office. At the office, Alanna was waiting for her on the phone, sitting behind the desk. The director knew something was up when Alanna quietly pointed at a chair. The director sat down nervous, wondering what was happening.

Alanna hung up the phone and smiled at the director. Then she sights and tells her, “Daisy, would you like to accompany me for lunch?” The director became very agitated. She didn’t know what to do. She nodded and Alanna stood up and exclaimed, “great. Let’s go then.” Daisy followed Alanna out of the office and stared at the infant teacher with wide eyes, as they walked out the door. Alanna asked her if she wanted to take her car or go with her. Daisy told Alanna that she would take her car.

They got in their cars and Alanna asked Daisy to follow her. Daisy follows Alanna to a nice restaurant. Alanna walked in with her and they were greeted by the host. The two women were taken to their table and their orders were taken. Alanna made small talk until their food arrived. Then she took a deep breath and began the difficult conversation. “Daisy, I want to thank you for the great job you did while I was away.” Daisy put her fork down and interrupted, “are you going to fire me?” Alanna responded with a sad face, “I’m sorry but I won’t be requiring your services anymore.” She handed her last paid check and informed her that she paid her for the whole month but today was her last day of work.

Daisy became upset. She tried to cover it up by being polite. They continued to eat and Daisy excused herself to go to the bathroom. Daisy called the infant teacher and told her what had happened. The infant teacher couldn’t believe it. The infant teacher told Daisy that she should ask Alanna if she could do something else?

Alanna finished her food and Matthew called her. She explained what she was doing. Then Alanna saw Daisy coming back from the bathroom. Daisy arrived at the table when Alanna was saying, “I love you too. I’ll see you when I get home.” Alanna hung up the phone and asked Daisy if everything was okay.

Daisy holds back from telling her exactly what she was thinking. She wanted to scream at her but instead, she did as the infant teacher recommended. Daisy asked Alanna if she could get another position and stay working for her. Alanna told her that she needed a new teacher for classroom 2 because the teacher from classroom 2 was about to go on maternity leave and she was thinking of staying home with her baby.

Alanna explained that the job came with a significant pay cut and the hours were more rigid than the director’s job, but if she was interested, she was happy to have her as a teacher.

Daisy shouted, “I’ll take it!” Alanna asked, “are you sure? You don’t want to think about it?” Daisy said that she didn’t need to think about it, and she could start as soon as she wanted her to start. Alanna told her that she could start shadowing the teacher tomorrow. Therefore, when she leaves in a month, the kids already knew her and she knew the classroom.
