Time passed and Alanna waited for Jack to reach out. She began to hear rumors of Jack being seen with another woman and drinking. Alanna didn’t believe the accusation. She knew Jack would come around when he was ready.
One day, Alanna gets home and finds a big envelope pooping out of her mailbox. Alanna pulled the envelope out and took it inside. She sat down to eat the takeout she picked up on the way home. She serves herself and begins to look through the mail while she eats. She opened the big envelope last. Alanna wasn’t naïve. She could tell what the envelope was holding inside. She took a big sip of wine before opening it. Alanna slowly opened the envelope and carefully pulled the contents out. Painfully, it was exactly what she feared.
