Alanna woke up early. She got out of bed, careful not to wake Jack. She put on a robe, grabbed Jack’s phone and went to the balcony. She turned on Jack's phone. Jack had 80 missed calls and 50 text messages. Alanna read the messages. The messages were mostly from his sisters, his brother and mother, but two messages were from a woman that Alanna didn’t know. Marisol and Debby send Jack messages checking on him and offering an ear if he needed someone to talk to. Alanna was tempted to erase the messages, but she left it alone.
