“You’ve got to make the barrier solid,” Tesia told me. “That’s the only way to be invisible to the lightning. Otherwise, it will find you. If you are fully connected to the Ralahin, it will probably keep it from killing you. But you have to perfect the barrier to really be protected. And you have to be able to do two things at once.”
I frowned in frustration, letting go of my Ralahin vision. We’d been at this for hours. I had worked on magical defenses with her before, but that was against physical weapons.
