*Lilly's P.O.V* Sometimes running away from your problems doesn't help. Sometimes it creates more of a mess that - If I'm being honest - not even running can help you escape. Yes, duty as a princess means doing the odd things for my kingdom that I'd rather not do, but it had to be done. For the kingdom. For my people. But some things are so far fetched I couldn't even muster enough strength to do it for my people. Like marrying Bradly. A convicted killer and r****t with numerous r**e charges. But my father, the king, couldn't seem to notice what the issue is with the ordeal of marrying him. Bradley Smith. 6 foot 2 inches. born in Ohio. D.O.B. 25/12/2040 Parents - Karen and Markus Smith. Previous King and Queen of London. (Dead) Time in, 12 years and 4 months. Out early for good behaviour. I remembered his records, why? I wasn't sure. So I could use it against him if we ever had gotten married, not that I would've willingly gotten married to him. He wasn't a nice man. Or, maybe, he was. He just hadn't had the time to prove he was indeed a nice human because of his royal status. But I digress, in the laws eyes he was bad so in my eyes, and most of society's eyes, he was also bad. They never say judge a book by it's cover but is that not what we was raised to do? Trust no one, question everything. Or, Hopefully not, is that just the way royals live? "What are you thinking about?" Oh. Right. The man to my left. How had I forgotten about him? "Just, you know, things." I shrugged nonchalant. Everything always seemed too much now. I questioned the simplist of things that I should be grateful for. Like the man on my left. Why didn't he hand me in? Why does he have blood on Him? Who is he? But, still, my mind races back to the first question of the bunch. Why? Oh, why hadn't he handed me in? Was I a pawn to a new game that had only just begun? Because that's how everything feels as of now. Like A game, one that I don't plan on loosing. Chuckling snapped me out of my thoughts, I turned. Facing the man. I shall call him blood boy. For the simple reason that he is coated in blood, or a substance that looks like blood and in my eyes that counts. "No I don't know, need I remind you I have no idea who you are? But you seem like someone of status, especially with the 'Run from the guards' fairytale you seemed to have just been in." His sly grin turned into a huge s**t-eating smug grin that I just wanted to smear into the dirt. Maybe I shall call him ass hat instead. Yes, ass hat it is. "Running from guards is far fetched ass hat. This is real life, not a fairytale." That was as close to scolding I could get with him literally spitting out the truth, maybe he lives In the fairytale land too. Like we all do. Having a phone would be great now, so I could stalk All the posts that will be made about my disappearance any moment now. But I hadn't thought that far ahead of time. Had I have known I'd be running for my life I would've packed a bag to take with me. Some clothes I could change in too, a hairbrush and scrunchies. My phone and portable charger even some snacks because I'd be hungry soon with all the running I've done tonight. Another chuckle escaped the man's lips. "Ass hat? So we're on nicknames now princess." More silly statements that sound like questions. "Come on. Follow me, you don't smell the greatest and nor do I." Without another word he turned on his muddied boots and stalked towards the cabin I had forgotten was behind us. Forgetting things seem to be my main focus today. I'd forgotten about this ass hat. The cabin. Necessary items to keep me going. Everything apart from brand records. There must be something I'm missing, an individual puzzle piece I've lost. I'll figure things out like I always do. "You don't focus very well princess." I hummed in a bland response. Once again he wasn't wrong, he just didn't need to know that. "I'm not going to hurt you. You look stressed and angry enough as it is, let me help you for tonight then you can do whatever it is you're doing tommorow." He paused. It was a statement, not a question. "Please?" Or maybe he's genuinely worried. Humming once again I nodded. a simple and plane gesture he'll understand. But just in case he doesn't. "I guess I need a place to stay for tonight." Spreading into his famous smile, he gave me another s**t eating grin. His lips curling perfectly up to his ears with his mouth hanging open, instantly causing anger in me. If he grins one more time I'm going to rub his face into the floor so hard he feels the molton lava. He's so smug and it infuriates me so much. A twinkle danced across his eyes as his grin faded away. It wasn't a happy twinkle. Something in the room shifted and I took a small step away from Mr Ass Hat. Clearing my throat from the sudden feeling of danger, that I know he felt too, I spun around. "Nice place." I whispered, on edge to speak clearly. Laughing quietly Ass hat sighed. "Thank you. The shower is through the door on your left and the guest bedroom is directly opposite. I'll just be here if you need me at any point during the night but try to get some rest. My sisters clothes will be in the bedroom, she'd want to help if she was still around." "I'm sorry for your loss." He nodded, his smile slipping off his face ever so slowly. But the glint in his eyes never leaving until he looked away. The cabin wasn't small, but it wasn't big either. It almost seemed like something straight out of Dr Who. Bigger on the inside then the out. The layout was so simple, 4 doors inside 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom and a kitchen, the living room being the first one you're already stood in. Getting ready for a nice rest was my main concern so the first thing I did was get some clothing shower and then get cosy in bed, but as soon as my head hit the pillow I was knocked out cold. Sleep taking over quicker then the seasons change.
