"All of your father's assets are officially mine," Dirga said flatly. The tip of his leather shoe stepped hard on Aksa's fingers.
"You bastard, Dirga," Aksa hissed, enduring the pain in his ribs. Blood dripped from the corner of his lips onto the lobby's asphalt.
"You're too stupid, Aksa. Disappear from this city, or die in a ditch."
Five years had passed, but the memory made Aksa squeeze the glass in his hand until it shattered. He ignored the blood on his palm. His eyes were locked on Viera—Dirga's wife—who was sitting with her legs crossed in the nightclub.
Without further ado, Aksa walked over and immediately sat next to the woman in the black silk dress.
Viera turned her head with a condescending look. "This seat isn't free, Mister. If you don't have a profitable offer, please find another prey."
"I know your husband is busier taking care of The Grand Elysium project than accompanying his wife here," Aksa shot back immediately.
Viera's body stiffened rigidly. "Who are you?"
"The person who holds the key to your husband's ruin," Aksa stared at her sharply. "Come with me now, or the dirty secrets behind Dirga's project will be leaked to the media tomorrow morning."
Viera looked into Aksa's eyes, searching for a hint of a lie, but only found a real threat. Her resistance died. "Take me."
As soon as the door to the hotel suite closed, Viera immediately turned around to challenge Aksa.
"So? What is it that you really want?" Viera demanded. "Money? Shares in The Grand Elysium?"
"The absolute ruin of your husband," Aksa answered casually, taking off his suit jacket. "He took everything from me five years ago. Now, I'm starting by taking what is his."
"By using me?" Viera laughed cynically. "Dirga doesn't care about me. He only cares about his perfect reputation."
"Exactly," Aksa closed the distance between them. "And a scandal of his wife cheating on him with his greatest enemy is the beginning of that reputation's ruin."
Viera fell silent, her breathing ragged. Her arrogance wavered in the face of Aksa's dominance. "Do you think I would just surrender myself so easily for your plan?"
"You are bored, ignored, and you hate him, Viera," Aksa replied flatly, locking eyes with the woman. "We have the same enemy. Be my ally tonight, and watch your husband get ruined tomorrow."
Viera stared at that hard face for a long time. Her refusal crumbled, replaced by intense passion and curiosity. She finally gave a thin smile. "Prove it to me tonight, Aksa."
Aksa didn't waste time. In one swift movement, he cornered Viera against the bedroom wall. His hand immediately grabbed the neckline of the expensive silk dress.
"I don't like to delay," Aksa whispered. With one rough pull, he tore the dress, exposing the sheer black lingerie underneath.
Viera gasped, but her eyes radiated a challenge. "Don't disappoint me."
Aksa immediately bent his head, crushing Viera's lips fiercely. His hands slipped beneath the lingerie, touching the woman's sensitive spots mercilessly. Viera returned the kiss just as roughly, her arms wrapping tightly around Aksa's neck. The remaining arrogance of the socialite queen washed away without a trace.
"A-Aksa..." Viera moaned hoarsely as the man's lips moved to her slender neck.
Aksa bit and sucked Viera's skin hard, intentionally leaving a glaring purplish-red mark. "That's a souvenir for your husband tomorrow."
Without waiting for a reply, Aksa lifted Viera's body with ease and threw her onto the middle of the king-size bed. That night, their alliance was sealed in a passionate union that stripped away all of Viera's sanity.
The next day.
Aksa stood calmly in the VIP row at the inauguration event of The Grand Elysium.
"This project is a masterpiece, and all of this could not have happened without the support of my beloved wife," Dirga said proudly from atop the marble stage.
Viera walked gracefully toward her husband. Her white dress was tightly closed up to her neck, hiding the traces of Aksa's kisses from last night. Her face radiated the perfect smile of a conglomerate's wife. However, as her gaze swept over the VIP guests, her eyes collided directly with Aksa's.
Viera's steps faltered for a moment. Her face paled as she remembered the long night they had just spent.
Aksa didn't look away. He smirked faintly and slowly raised his champagne glass toward Viera.
"Cheers," Aksa murmured softly.
Dirga laughed broadly on the stage, completely unaware that the woman he boasted about beside him had already become his greatest enemy's trump card.
Applause echoed as Dirga stepped down from the stage. Aksa set down his champagne glass, waiting. In less than ten minutes, Dirga actually approached him with a business smile.
"Mr. Aksa! It is a great honor that you are willing to attend," Dirga greeted enthusiastically, extending his hand.
Aksa returned the handshake, gripping it so tightly that Dirga flinched in surprise. "A magnificent event, Mr. Dirga."
"Thank you. Oh, let me introduce you, this is my wife, Viera," Dirga said proudly, putting an arm around Viera's waist. "Viera, this is Mr. Aksa, the head of Apex Capital."
Viera's body stiffened. She held out her hand stiffly. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Aksa."
Aksa accepted the hand. His rough thumb deliberately pressed and rubbed Viera's palm provocatively.
"The pleasure is mine, Mrs. Viera," Aksa's baritone voice sounded deep. "I didn't expect Mr. Dirga's wife to look so... experienced in entertaining guests."
Dirga laughed freely, thinking it was a genuine compliment. "Of course! My wife always knows how to entertain important guests, Mr. Aksa."
Suddenly, an assistant approached and whispered something with an anxious face.
"I'm so sorry, Mr. Aksa. There is a logistics problem in the back," Dirga said hurriedly. "Viera, keep Mr. Aksa company for a moment."
"Of course, Darling," Viera whispered stiffly.
As soon as Dirga's figure walked away, Viera immediately pulled her hand back roughly.
"What do you want, you bastard?!" Viera hissed, holding back her anger. "You deliberately set me up last night?!"
Aksa stepped forward, cornering Viera until the woman's back hit a marble pillar. "Watch your tone, Viera. You're the one who came to me last night."
"You're crazy," Viera's breathing was heavy, her face paling under Aksa's intimidation.
Without saying much, Aksa slipped a black access card into Viera's clutch.
"The Ritz Hotel, presidential suite on the 12th floor. Eight o'clock tonight," Aksa ordered absolutely.
Viera's eyes widened in horror. "I don't want to! You can't—"
"Arrive on time, or tomorrow morning last night's hot video will land on your husband's desk," Aksa cut in coldly. He patted Viera's cheek slowly. "Don't be a single second late."
Aksa immediately turned and walked away, leaving Viera leaning limply with her heart pounding fast.
That afternoon. The top office of Apex Capital.
Leo, Aksa's trusted assistant, came in carrying a black folder. "Reporting, Sir. We have acquired the majority shares in the three main steel factories supplying The Grand Elysium."
Aksa turned his chair slowly. "Good. Cut off all material shipments to Dirga's project site right now. Cancel all the old agreements and pay the penalties."
"Yes, Sir," Leo nodded quickly. "Without this supply, their project will be paralyzed by tomorrow morning. Dirga Corp's shares will definitely plummet drastically."
"Let that bastard crawl in a panic looking for a fresh loan," Aksa's smirk appeared.
Aksa glanced at his watch. Seven in the evening. There was still one hour left before he ensured his enemy's wife would once again be on her knees begging him in a hotel room.
