CHAPTER SIX
It was 11:15 a.m. at Revival Word of God Church, and the praise and worship part of the service was already underway. The church building was no bigger than the other detached homes in the surrounding neighborhood, and in fact looked as if it might have been a house itself in a former life. Only the steeple at the point of the gable and a handmade marquee on the yard at the front of the church set it apart from any other house in the community. Directly across the street was a series of four two-story brick apartment buildings, parallel to each other, plain, long, and rectangular, with gabled roofs.
