CHAPTER TWO: NEW DESTINATION

'l can't believe that am here, am at New King University. Ghosh! I love this place mom.' Meagan exclaimed widely not believing what she's seeing.

'I know darling, l had no choice than to book your space here that day you said that you didn't want to be at Macmillan university. I had talked to the school manager about you joining here and he didn't hesitate in allowing you. But he added that no more bullies and fights because there will be no mercy if caught at the scene.' Her mom said the last words silently looking at her daughter who didn't bother to say anything about what she just said.

Instead of her to respond she nodded slowly as they walk towards the principal's office as other students from other classes peeps at her.

The school was too big for everyone and she liked the thought of her being here. She enjoyed the cool breeze as she viewed every place while her mom talks to the principal.

'oh my! she said looking at the school compound. It's too big for her to get the whole view of it. She didn't knew how she had reached to the field because her mind was filled with excitement. Before she could leave her eyes caught a young man sitting alone and suddenly he turned immediately he felt someone was looking at him.

There eyes locked for sometime and she looked away suddenly as her mom calls her.

'Meag, what are you doing here alone. The school principal wants to talk to you about something. Mrs Marlo said looking at her daughter's expression. Without a sigh she entered into the office and sat down quietly as the principal talks.

After few minutes of the principal's interrogation she was given her schedule and showed her class by a young lady whom she thought she's a lecturer too. She hugged her mom and after a few talks she was out of the school compound. Her heart got scared the moment she stepped on the door. It was as silent as a grave and she couldn't bare the quietness of this school. She wanted to leave but someone spoke which made her to get glued on her spot.

' l guess we have a new student,' the lady's voice echoed in the class which made everyone to look up. 'please come in don't be scared. Am Mrs Linda your English teacher. She introduced as she welcome Meagan.'

Meagan cursed inwardly entering as the whole classe get astonished with what they were seeing. She folded her fingers her head up not even shying at the students.

'Uh, am Meagan Lopez and am here to learn too. She said evading the silence before Mrs Linda could tell her to introduced herself.

'ow! the students echoed because of her expression. I think they didn't know she's this bold.

Pa! pa! Somebody clapped making her to look at him immediately.

'oh joker joe, would please stop clapping. Your claps are annoying. Jude said as everyone looks silence.

'No! it's fine, Mrs Linda said as she urge the students to clap for Meagan as she take her sit. She showed her place as murmurs echoes in the class. Meagan took her sit looking at the girl next to her not even uttering a word to her. The girl just smiled as Mrs Linda continues with her lesson. No one spoke until the bell rung for lunch.

' Meagan didn't bother to leave the class since she didn't have any where to go. She breath heavily on her sit ready to face her day. She didn't want to do something stupid cause of what her mom said earlier to her. She knew she was tired of being stubborn too. She leaned her head onto the locker refreshing her mind as the girl next to her stands on the door looking at her.

After the class has ended Meagan took her bag and headed out of the class. She went through the back door first heading to the restroom not knowing where it was. She reached out of her bag removing something but suddenly she bumped into someone hardly almost falling down. She was surprised because she thought she gonna hit her butt down but she was caught by somebody on her waist. The person didn't flinch even a second as she opens her eyes widely. As there eyes look deeply into each other the guy holding her let her go as she hit her ass on the ground hardly.

'Ouch! she cried caressing her ass as she looks at him with devilishly.

' tsk! he cursed twitching his lips as if she's nothing at him leaving without a word.

'hm, he's too arrogant,'Meagan murmured as he disappear not leaving her eyes at him.

'Ah!, it's too painful. Can't believe he just made me hit my ass. That guy has really no sense at all. She said standing while in pain as she wipes herself.

'Ting! Ting! Ting! Meagan heard an alarm on her ears immediately she pulling a blanket over her. She groan in disappointment knowing very well that she's her mom waking her up.

'Mom, did you really need to do that, l was already awake except my eyes,' she complained sitting at the edge of her bed.

'I know darling. It's just that yesterday l didn't check on you while sleeping and didn't asked how your first day at school was.' She uttered looking concern.

'Pch! She twitched her lips folding her hands on the chest. 'Am fine Mrs Marlo and don't bother asking me how the school was. What l need to say is l love the school and am happy being there. Now would you please walk out of my room and let me get dressed for today's class.' she said walking into the bathroom.

'As you say my princess', she replied happily walking out with a smile. All l want is for my daughter to be happy. I don't wanna see her in pain anymore since she just started her New Destination. She'll be twenty next month and l hope she won't notice anything on her body. Mrs Marlo thought as she walked towards the kitchen.

She has only thirty minutes remaining for her to be late.This is her second day at New King University and she didn't want to be late. She ran out of her house after giving her mom a hug and hopped into the car as the chauffeur drove her immediately without wasting even a second.

Meagan reached at the school compound before some minutes to eight. She ran immediately she saw a male lecturer walking towards their class and she couldn't ran as fast as she could so she just prayed. Suddenly before the lecturer could walk inside his phone rang and he stopped as he answer the phone.

Meagan didn't let her Chance to fade like that so she saw the lecturer turning and within no time she dashed inside creating attention from everyone. She walked silently but before she could take her sit a voice from behind destructed her as she turns to look at the person.

'It seems that the little rat doesn't know the time to be in class guys,' Kate said as she chew like a cow. Didn't the school principal told you anything about those who come late what kind of punishment we give to the late comers?' she asked as Meagan shake her head silently.

'Ok, would you walk out of the classroom and go kneel at the school compound. I guess that will make you not to be late again.

'Eh, wait Kate. She's knew here and doesn't know anything about the school rules. Why don't you just give her time to know everything so that next time you punish her if she comes late,' Jimmy blurted looking at Kate.

'l agree with you Jimmy,' she's too innocent and l guess she really didn't want to be late according to my suspicion.' Joker Joe said smiling but Kate just walk towards Meagan and dragged her out as the whole class stares at them in surprise.

'Leave me,' Meagan tried to take her hands off Kate but she was too strong. She pulled her as hard as she could then pushed her to the ground making her to hit the floor hardly. It was raining outside and her whole body got drenched as she starts to bleed immediately.

'Oh s**t! Kate what did you just do? Andy came running trying to get Meagan up. Before he could make her stand Meagan just slipped in his hands passing out suddenly.

'Geez, what's just happened. f**k! he cursed carrying her in a princess style walking towards the doctor's room. Kate didn't utter a word except being scared for what will happen to her after the girl wakes up.

After few hours Meagan opened his eyes as she looks everywhere. Her mom was sitting besides her with a sad face.

When Meagan opened her eyes widely and saw where she was, she put a big frown on her face as her mom looks at her with wonders.

'Do you need anything dear?' Her mom asked moving closer.

'Nope, am good. She replied after a short silence in the room.

'Then why put that frown huh, you know l want to see you happy.

'Huh! am fine mom can't you see. Look am even smiling,' she said putting on a fake smile.

' Ok darling am happy to see you with that smile on you.? Anyway don't you want to know who brought you here when you had passed out?' Her mom asked looking at the man standing at the door.

'Meagan gasped in surprise looking at Andy who was just smiling at her. He immediately moved closer and introduced himself to them.

'Hi Meag, am Andy Cruz. Actually Ahhh.... Uhhmmhh.. me.... l mean.... I.... he stammered and before he could finished Meagan popped in with a slight smile.

'I understand, am okay and thank you alot for your help, she replied looking at him but not being satisfied.

' All my pleasure, I'll be taking my leave now Mrs,' Andy uttered slowly walking out but Meagan's mom stopped him.

'Would you please wait for my daughter to leave with you since her lessons are yet to end.' she asked making Meagan to flinch on her position as Andy look at her in disbelief.

'Mom, am fine and l don.....she was cut off by her mom making her to shut down.

' It's fine Meag, let Andy drove you back because am leaving now. Am yet to finish my work at the office so please just do as l say, okay honey,' she said kissing Meag at the forehead as she stepped out of the room.

'Andy looked at Meagan who was glued on her bed for a long time without looking at him and he moved closer to him carried her and walk out as well.

'You don't need to do that Mr grumpy, l can walk by myself, so just put me down and let me, Meagan complain and Andy didn't protest at her request.

'Can we be friends?' he asked after a short while which made Meagan to be surprise with an expected question.
