A SACRIFICE FOR LOVE

CHAPTER SEVEN : NOT YET

On the other side of Eastern Kingdom...

King Lee is seen from far being restless as he watch his old prophet Merodie chanting some words which he couldn't understand. The prophet continue his chants for almost two hours which made King Lee more annoyed.

' l guess am tired with what you're doing, it's been almost three hours since you've started this l don't know what you call it, and yet no sign you've shown,' he shouted making the prophet to stop and look at him.

' l guess have tried all my best your honour, it's seems that the little girl's time is yet to arrive. Have been talking to my prophetess but there's nothing they've shown me,' he said standing as he picks his belongings.

' I'll take my leave now, and if I receive any news, I'll send someone to give you the information before I go.' he said walking away but the king made him to stop.

' Go? where? he asked as the prophet looks at him in surprise.

' My king,' l think you've forgotten that in every year we Prophets and prophetess do go on Mount Tale. This has been one of our usual activities which is done on the eighth month in every year. We always go there just to get more information on something which has been hidden. Until the right time comes, that's when it can be reveal,' he finished as the king take his sit.

' And how many days, month, years or whatever it is will take for you to return? He asked being curious.

' Um, actually that one l can't know, especially when I don't know what kind of information are we going to receive. It depends it's which situation would be working on. In every hidden secrets, the longest days it can take is probably two months or even less than that. But when it comes to a serious situation like what your facing in this kingdom, it might take around six months or more,' he answered as the king opens his eyes as if he didn't expect what he had just said to him.

' Are you serious when you say six months or more? What if l have got a serious news to talk to you and you're not there? do you expect me to keep it till you arrive?' the king asked throwing his hands on his waist moving around. He bit his lower lip in disappointment as the prophet nods.

' Before l take my leave, please inform your son to wait till l come. The time isn't yet for his mission to start. I'll go now,' he said bowing down walking out of the Kingdom.

Prophet Merodie took his leave leaving King Lee in thoughts to go and prepare for his journey which will take off tomorrow morning. He didn't know exactly what was going on because in every chants he does all he sees is darkness. Darkness was filled inside his vision even concentrating was a bit challenging. He felt as if there was something dangerous which was dragging him behind not to see more and that thing which he's yet to find out was more powerful than anyone could think of.

Days went on and the day they both were waiting for arrived. Everyone was standing on a straight line as the principal instructs them what they should do and what they should not.

' Ah, more instructions to follow you will be given by the director who will also be accompanying us. Anyone who has a question he or she will wait till we arrive to our destination,' he finished as the New King University bus arrives at the school compound. Everyone looked around to see the biggest bus ever. The big bus was two in one which made both students and some lecturers to be stunned.

' Yes, l bought that huge bus for some reasons. I knew we will be so many that's why I had to do what l could so that all of you could fit in one bus. I didn't want to get two buses, that's why I ordered this double one bus for you all,' he said smiling as he announce all of them to make two qeues for girls and boys both standing in different lines.

' Where's Meagan Maya?' Sara asked Maya who has been restless since the principal started speaking.

' Have no idea Sara, l tried to contact her few hours ago but her phone has been switched off. I tried calling her using a different line but the message was still the same,' she replied swallowing hardly what she just said folding her arms to her chest as everyone starts to enter the bus.

' Ohh! Is that so, l guess something bad might have happened to her because even Roy is missing too,' Sara replied as Maya looks at her in surprise.

None of them spoke again as they enter the bus. Maya's expression remained the same as sadness fills her face. She tried to look behind to see if Meagan was coming but there was no sign of her. She entered inside slowly still looking but neither did she see her nor Roy.

' I can't believe this girl still won't appear even after all the promises she gave, s**t! she murmured slowly but loud enough for someone near her to hear it taking her sit.

' Me too can't believe it, l don't know what's making him not to come, oh God where are they?' Joe cried softly as he peeks through the window near Maya while she looks at him with 'so what' expression.

None of them moved for some minutes till everyone was sitted. Maya's hands were sweating as she wipes her forehead with her palms while Joe gives her a wonder glare. She assumed him as she looks through the window. At the time their journey was about to start, someone shouted from behind.

' Waait! They are here, look they are both coming,' Maya shouted tapping Joe's shoulder making other students to look at her.

Meagan and Roy were seen from far riding on skaters while Roy's hand was entwined with Meagan's. They were both wearing the same pair of jeans and white shirts which no one could further told anything as they smile. Kate's teeth gritted tightly as anger rose as they appear more visibly. Murmurs started filling the bus as their sweet ride stops the moment they reached at the bus which was about to set off. All eyes were on them whereby someone who didn't know them could have thought that they were the young couples going for a vacation.

Maya walked out of the bus as quickly as she could running towards Meagan and hugged her so tightly. ' What happened besty? Do you know how scared l was you not coming?' she asked still hugging her more tighter than before.

' You... You... a.. r.. e... You're choking... me Maya,' Meagan said as she try to breath.

' Oh s**t! am sorry, l was so worried about you, you know, am sorry for my behaviour,' she apologiesed as the bus beeps for them to enter. With no words they got in and settled down as the driver sets off.

Meagan was listening to his favourite music when suddenly Maya turned to her side and jolted her from what she was thinking.

' Now that you have settled down, would you mind telling me what your thinking...

She didn't finished when Meagan said no as soon as possible putting on her headphones back and continue to listen her music. Maya shut down the moment she received the answer as she also turns her face to the phone she was holding as she puts on music too as the journey continues.

No one spoke through out the journey until they all came to their destination. They walked out of the bus as some stretches making their hard bones to complain. They stood out for some minutes as the principal commence. After they were given the instructions they both went for lunch as they wait for tomorrow's day.

After lunch, they went inside a big hall where they found their luggages were already there. School director Mr.Ely came in with a white sheet of papers. He slided his right hand on the pocket while the left one hold the paper.

' Hope we are all here,' don't want more delays because we are totally late for tomorrow's game, am going to call your names and the person you'll be called with will be your partner till the game ends,' he stated making some to tense in fear as silence fills the room. No one questioned as he continues calling the names.

'Fernadoz wensly and Michael young, Sylvia Mia and Dean John Sylvester, Kate Cruz and Roy Lee, he called as they both came Infront which made Kate to feel so happy as Roy's face remains normal like it always look. No one knew if he was happy or sad.

Next is, Joe Johnson and Japheth Berry, Andy Kenya and Jared Prados, um, he murmured opening the last page, Megan Lopez and Carlos Sang, Last but not least is Maya Brendah wheng and Sandra Linet. Then our last person is Peter London and Mitchell Tech,' he finished as Meagan stares at Carlos who had just arrived while a big shock appeared on her face. Roy saw how Meagan was and he knew evidently that there was something wrong. Carlos winked at her as she blinks her eyes almost thrice while the director continues speaking.

She got glued on her position still wondering how and why was Carlos hear. How was he going to participate in the game and he's not from their school she questioned no one in particular as the school principal answers her as if he had read her mind.

' Um, this guy by the name Carlos Sang he's from Eveready University which won the great prize in the year twenty eighteen and he had requested me to make him join us in this game. I had no other option than to agree despite him being stubborn, he's one of the perfect students have ever seen,' he praised him as he thank him with a smile.

Time went on and all girls were separated from boys. They were both given their separate rooms to sleep till their days were over. Meagan stood at the window with her pajamas on staring at the lonely and quiet sky as she wishes that her twin sister was there with her to play the game too. She felt someone's presence and she turned around only to see Mealan there smiling at her.

' Don't be scared siz, l think by know you should not be getting scared when l appear at you.' she said moving closer at her.

' Am not scared, it's just that, l don't know how you knew that I was thinking about you?' Meagan replied putting her back on the wall.

' I can feel when your heart is yarning for someone or something. I can sense when yo are missing me and you want me to be there with you. I always no your every move and even when you are sad,' she said smiling.

Mealan didn't utter a word for about ten seconds nor move as she glares at her smiling sister questions filing on her head.

' Yeah, can't deny that either, you've been like that since we were young even if l didn't wanted someone to talk to, you'll always appear, l don't know why?'

' It's because we are almost one, my heart is yours and your heart is in someone else, she replied making Meagan's eyes to widen.

' What do you mean?' How is that possible?' she finally asked.

' You'll gonna understand it when the right time comes. You'll understand everything when that time comes.

' Which time Mealan are you talking about?' she asked again getting more confused with her statement.

' Hah! don't be scared sweet sister, sleep now tomorrow's day gonna be longer,' she finished as she gives her a good night peck disappearing from her sight as Maya walks towards her.

' hey! Are you okay? Aren't you going to sleep now? She asked touching her on the shoulder.

' Ah! sleep? me? huh! don't bother yourself that much, am fine can't you see?' she replied shrugging her shoulders while Maya nods but not being satisfied with her respond as they walk to bed.

Meagan's eyes were closed the moment she laid her body to her bed but her mind was not yet asleep. What Mealan said to her was still ringing on her mind as she force herself to sleep until the sleep responded to her request.
