Phillip hung up the phone after talking to Alex. He drew a sigh of relief. It had been so long since he had managed to hope. His struggles to convince his dad to try his ideas had never stood a chance. He thought he might be able to change things after his dad’s death, but when he looked at the books and seen just how bad everything was, He had been scrambling for a solution since then. Alex was the answer to a prayer. If everything worked out in the meeting the next morning, the factory could stay open. Phillip had felt bad for the workers. He knew they depended on the factory. He had kept them on payroll until his money gave out. Phillip had tried to find a buyer for the factory, being willing to let it go at a loss, just so the workers could keep their jobs, but no one was interested.
