When Dottie Sue and Mark left the memorial service, Dottie Sue let Mark drive the girl’s car. She almost always let Becky or Taylor drive. She was nervous about driving with Mark in the car with her.
Mark drove to a restaurant close to the mall. He had been there before, but it was not close to Avorn, so, he was hoping he would not bump into any friends. He wanted some time with Dottie Sue alone. They needed to talk and get to know more about each other.
