CHAPTER 2
Taylor and Becky were through with work for the day. They took the elevator down to the first floor, where they boarded the elevator to the basement garage. They were glad the workday was over. The girls stopped at Riccie’s, a local bar. Their friend and roommate, Dottie Sue Flinn, worked there as a bartender. Taylor and Becky would stop there and wait for Dottie Sue to finish work so they could give her a ride home. It was usually about a forty-five minute wait. The girls would get a glass of tea to drink while they waited. They sat in a booth and watched the customers. Taylor spotted a man from Avorn. He was one of the security guards. Everyone called him Slim and most everyone liked him.
“I wonder if Slim’s wife knows how he spends his off- duty time?” said Taylor.
