ALLE I've been avoiding Winter for a week. Not subtly either—ducking into rooms when I hear his footsteps, taking alternate routes through the estate, timing my lab hours for when I know he's busy with pack business. It's pathetic and we both know it. But my body can't be trusted around him, and I'm not ready to deal with what that means. I've given Freda excuses as to why I don't go out as much, why I don't train as much despite Ulysses breathing down my neck to resume. I don't want to risk seeing him more than necessary.
