CALLIE All of that had happened a month and a half ago. Now, it was November and I waddled from one room to another, unable to sit still for longer than a couple of minutes. A week ago, Zoey and Marie had prohibited me from helping out in the barn or in the fields. It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed it. It helped me clear my mind. Now, I could only cook, and only if someone was home to help me and supervise. As soon as they realized my pregnancy was flying by, they were more careful around me, making sure I was comfortable. Queen Marie was the only one who already had a pup and as she assessed me, she said the baby should be here by the end of the month. I was glad she and I had managed to find a way to get along. Just like her mate and Zoey had said, she only needed to warm up to me.
