As Jane pulled her car out of the lot, Caleb followed suit but in the opposite direction, heading towards his office.
He continued to stare at her car through the rearview mirror until it became a tiny dot, and then nothing.
He sighed and shook his head, as if to clear some thoughts out of it, just as his phone beeped and the doctor's name flashed across the screen.
