The physician took a quick look at her and smiled. What was written in the outcome, she questioned him? The doctor said, "Miss Laura, you can check it out." with grace.
With terror, Laura ripped it open and took a quick look. Her hand began to shake. Laura realized she had been perspiring at that point. She held the product in her fingers, her clothes drenched from sweat.
Her cheeks were wet with tears. She has been terrified by this. She is met with the harsh reality.
"Ma'am, you are six weeks pregnant," the doctor said. She wasn't ready for the pregnancy, he realized as he glanced at her.
Laura didn't respond or say anything; instead, she briefly closed her eyes and let tears stream down her stunning face.
Upon seeing her, the physician deduced from her psychological background that she was resentful and that the idea of becoming pregnant had made their current situation worse.
"Want to get an abortion? However, the man who conceived you must sign," the physician suggested. She can still choose to abort the children.
"I'm not familiar with the individual; Laura wiped out. She felt instant regret over it. It was inappropriate for her to tell him what had happened to her.
The physician squinted. Although it's not his job, he seemed worried about her. For her, why was he taking such drastic measures?
"The stronger the case for terminating the pregnancy. However, I hope you don't," the physician said. He was sympathetic to the woman. It makes sense why, as she was going to open the envelope containing the results, her hand shivered.
Laura thanked him and said she would think about it overnight before doing whatever she felt would be best for her.
"Please do not hesitate to contact me," the physician replied, extending his complimentary card to her. Laura reluctantly took the card and turned to go.
What will she do at this point? She is not financially stable enough to care for herself and her unborn child, nor does she know the man who got her pregnant.
The doctor called Laura again that evening, this time letting her know he would like to see her at the "local restaurant" that evening. Laura gave in to his pleas and agreed to meet him by 8:30 p.m.
When Rosa got back from the grocery shop two days later, she went to Laura's room to give her a call.
She had been convinced to accompany her to the supermarket, but she declined. She is fully aware that she doesn't want any family members to witness her with Rosa.
They needed to discuss how her first day of work would go because she would be starting again in the morning.
All of her employment had been in her father's company.
She needed someone to explain her what it was like to be an employee because she hadn't truly worked anywhere else.
When Rosa tried to call Laura on her cell phone, it was disconnected. She decided to check on her in the guest room after waiting for a bit.
However, Rosa entered without seeing Laura. She sensed that something was off. Why does she think no one is in the room?
Laura left the house? Why had she not accompanied her? She would have to wait until she got back.
Rosa checked her phone when a message beeped, and it was from Laura.
When she saw what was in the message, she was stunned. She collapsed into the bed and began to cry.
Why had she not told her before making the decisions that she did? Was she griping about being accommodated?
Laura's mother and brother were fine with her living with them. So why did she act in that way?
Rosa had started to cry.
She left the guest room as soon as she heard her mother arrive, but she wasn't sure how long she had stayed there.
Rosa's mother was taken aback upon seeing her daughter. Rosa has been sobbing for some time. What was her fate?
She approached her daughter, put her hands on her shoulder, and made her look directly at her.
Rosa, what's causing you to cry? Her mother urged her to tell, and I swear to do everything in my power to support you.
Rather than responding, she gave her mother her phone so she could read the message Laura had sent.
After retrieving the phone, Rosa's mother checked the message.
She looked at her daughter and her eyes darkened.
What message was this sending out?
What does Laura intend to convey by her behavior and the message she sent? Why does she feel this way about it?
Rosa's mom started to get serious. Has she done anything that Laura finds upsetting? Has she mentioned something that has caused her to feel uncomfortable?
