Unveiling Nine

"No!" Amara screamed. "Azrail do something." Tarantang sambit niya dahil nagkakagulo na ang lahat. The darkness that Achlys brought was slowly eating the courtyard. Tila ba isang delubyo ang paparating sa dilim ng palagid. As the darkness embraces the night, the bloody moon became more scintillating. 

"What should I do then? Burn her into ashes?" Azrail asked Amara. "Do it, Amara." 

"I-I can't." Amara answered, underestimating her own ability. "There are a lot of them."

"I thought you love this land and we have to protect them? Then do it. I can't do anything about this. You know that. I can end this by killing everyone from her clan but I can't stop the chaos that Achlys is bringing right now. Only you can do it, Amara." Azrail is trying to convince her. As the darkness became one with the night, howling of wolves can be heard that made everything more chaotic. Hindi man gaanong maaninag ng mga bampira ang isa't-isa ay pilit nilang pinoprotektahan ang mga sarili at mga nakatataas sa kanila laban sa iba't-ibang angkan. As Achlys tighten her grip into Kasadeya's neck, she came closer to her, ready to bite her and suck her blood until she can no longer live in this world of darkness. 

"Do it, Amara. Now!" Sigaw ni Azrail kasabay ng pag pikit ni Amara at pag hinga ng malalim. As she opened her eyes, it's as if the time stopped. Every vampire, royal or not are not moving. Amara's trying to control them using her mental manipulation ability.  

"You have to stop now." Amara said to Achlys, almost a whisper. "Let her go."

"Never." Achlys firmly said and bit Kasadeya's neck. She's uncontrollable now, the chaos that she is was triggered. Tila na pako ang dalawa sa ginawa ni Achlys. Baphomet Clan is the most powerful clan before them. And hurting one of the most powerful clan's rulers means wagging the tail of war. That is what Achlys is doing. 

"I thought you warned us about no spilling of blood tonight?" Isang tinig ang nagpatigil kay Achlys. Amara and Azrail looked at Sven with wonder. He is not being manipulated. 

"You're doing the thing that you forbid." Sven said. Achlys put let go of Kasadeya and looked at Azrail, as if they were talking with their eyes. She then walked towards Sven and looked at him intently. "You don't know anything about this world, human. Killing one of the rulers of the most powerful clan means you're taking their position. That's the first thing I want to do as a Queen." She said and started to walk pass him but Sven tried to held her arm as Achlys tried to dodge his touch. 

"You shouldn't be here." She said as she raised her palm infront of Sven before disappearing in the darkness. As the bringer of chaos was gone, the darkness that embraced the night, slowly vanished. Nilapitan ni Azrail si Kasadeya na naka handusay sa damo at hirap na. 

"If you think that this is the end, then think again. I will make you all pay. You and your sisters are evil." She said, trying hard to find her voice. 

"I know. Now burn." Azrail said as she slide hair palm onto Kasadeya's body and burned her, making her ashes disappear with the cold wind. Tumayo siya at hinila si Rainer bago umalis. Amara then stopped manipulating the minds of every vampire before leaving everything a big question mark. She manipulated their memories to forget what chaos had happen. 

When everyone recovered, she made Achates announced that the night is done and they should leave the land of Sephtis before dawn. Isa-isang umalis ang bawat angkan na dumalo sa koronasyon ng mga reyna. No other clan were left beside Sephtis and few Celias to assure the safety of the land and their rulers.

"So you are vampires. Clans and covens and... And this. This world." Rainer said. Nasa loob siya ng isang silid kasama si Azrail na naka upo habang pinaglalaruan ang kanyang patalim. 

"I believe your eyes did not deceived you." Azrail answered, still not looking at him. "About your human friend-"

"Sven. Sven's his name." Pagputol niya kay Azrail na ikina pukol ng atensyon nito sa kanya. "I don't care. Human, Sven, or whatever." She said before standing up and walked towards him. "Achlys said that he shouldn't be here. But she's the one who brought him here." She continued and let out a mocking chuckle. "Do you think I should kill him?" Tanong nito habang naglalakad pa ikot kay Rainer. Because of who she is, minabuti na lang ni Rainer na wag gumalaw at hayaan si Azrail sa kanyang ginagawa.

After a few seconds, Azrail stopped walking behind him as her heels stopped echoing inside the room. He then felt the cold shiny metal on his neck, making him bleed. He then looked at Azrail that is now tasting his blood through her spear pointed knife. 

"Sweet." Azrail said with fangs. She then walked towards the door and opened it. "It's time to end the night. I will see you tomorrow, Slave." She said and left. Leaving Rainder dumbfounded.

"Slave? The hell does that means?" 

"Anyone her-" He stopped midway ng makita si Rainer. 

"Sven?"

"Yeah. Akala ko walang tao." Sagot nito at tuluyang pumasok ng silid. He sat down on the bed and removed his shoes before laying down. 

"I was scared, bro." He said, breaking the silence while looking at the ceiling. "The way she looked at me. It's fascinating but scary." Tumagilid ito ng upo at tinignan si Rainer. "How can we run away?"

"I'm not going anywhere." Sagot ni Rainer na ikina tayo ni Sven. "Nababaliw kana ba? How can you not run away kung mga bampira ang mga kasama mo? You're insane." Hindi makapaniwalang sabi ni Sven.

"Let's scrutinize them, Sven. The vampires." Pagpapatuloy ni Rainer. "Let's learn their ways, their lifestyle. How do they live and how to kill them."

"You told us you don't buy the vampire hunter's shits. And now you want to be like them."

"Gusto kong malaman kung bakit hindi na sila pumupunta sa mundo natin. I want to know how do they keep everything on their own."

"Rain, they don't to meddle with humans. With us. They are living their own lives here as we are in our own world. Tayo ang pilit na gumugulo sa kanila kaya nasisira ang lahat."

"Then why did they bring us here? Bakit imbes na hayaan na lang nila tayo na mahanap ang daan pabalik, ikinulong nila tayo dito sa mundo nila?'

"Because they want to scrutinize you as well." A man sitting on the balcony said. "I wonder if the queens are listening to you right now." Pagpapatulog ni Acheros before walking inside the room and picked the apple on the table. "First thing that you should now about us vampires, is that we can hear you even if you're one thousand kilometers away." He said and took a bite on the apple. "Ah. We can read your minds. Try closing them sometimes."

"Can you still cross the portal?" Tanong ni Rainer. 

"I never tried it. I'm here to tell you that you will be having a training tomorrow. I almost forgot that I'm also a prince because I always follow that Achlys." Bulong pa nito sa sarili niya. "You will be with the others, Sephtis and Celia. Gusto nila na matuto kayong lahat sa pag gamit ng mga patalim." 

"But do we have to? Hindi ba't papatayin niyo lang din naman kami?" 

"Oh, Sven. Oo naman. But I don't think tomorrow will be your end. In fact, being a vampire slave can give you a lot of benefits." He answered as he walks towards the balcony. "See you tomorrow, humans. Cao."
