Michael got employed in the Global Peace Private Hospital, and it was his first day at work. With his smart dressing, he got into the hospital looking all sharp and ready for the day. Michael got into his new office, it looks spacious and comfortable with the air-conditioning giving out a cool atmosphere. They settled an office system on his desk. He was so pleased with the whole opportunity because his payment was accommodating and with the fact that he will have to leave Kenny's house and get a rented apartment of his own and start up a new journey of life; Michael got to meet his new colleagues specialized in different fields in the hospital and got acquainted with them all. Mitchell gave Michael a brief lecture as she shows him around the hospital and informs him about how things. Michael was ever ready to learn, he sure does know that one thing brings down a man completely which is; 'pride'. He never allowed it to take hold of him instead, he had the power in him to control it.
“So, I believe you’ve gotten an insight about the hospital?” Mitchell asked,
“Definitely” Michael replied
“You are pretty good at lecturing people,” He complimented her
“Thank you,” she replied with a smile
"If I may ask Dr. Mitchell, for how long have you been working with Global Peace Hospital? Michael asked
"It's 6years now, though I undergo some training in this same hospital during my 200L. Dr. Kay is a friend of my dad's, so it was easy for me to connect. She replied
"I was well known for my intelligence and persistent in my work. I signed out from the university last two months with a 1st class upper." She mentioned
"Wow!" I exclaimed
"That's great!" Michael said
"Thank you" She replied
"I knew my instincts never deceived me when I mentioned you being a scholar the other day," Michael mentioned
"You are not excepted either because your CV shows you hold a 1st class upper too. Isn't that great?" She implored
"It was God all the way, I ensured I made my mother proud," Michael confessed
"Indeed, she must be proud of you." She said
"Oh yes! She is. I call her dramatic woman" He let out
They both laughed
"Once again, thanks for the compliment," She said with a smile
"You're welcome" Michael replied
Emergency!!! Emergency!!! Emergency!!!
Doctor Mitchell, we need urgently your attention in the operation room. We have a quick emergency.
“A nurse from afar looking distressed blurted,”
“We both rushed down to check out the emergency,”
They had scurried a man in his early 50s who has grey hair but still looking young down to the hospital; It covered him in a pool of blood after it entangled him in a terrible accident. With his critical condition, he has to be operated on urgently in other to save his life.
“Dr. Micheal, please come with me to the operational room,” Mitchell said
“Of course,” Michael replied, with no hesitancy
We both went into the operating room. The patient was half dead and was on the verge of losing his life, but with the help of God, Mitchell, and Michael, he survived. Two hours later Michael and Mitchell had operated on the man, the operation went successfully well. The man was stabilized and needed enough rest to gain back his recovery self. They both came out of the operating room alongside a nurse.
“What a conserving grace that young man got, he almost gave up the ghost,” Michael said, closing the operating room door
“It was indeed a saving grace, doing my years of practice I have never seen this miracle before,” Mitchell replied
"Please do well to keep a close attention on him while I go get myself cleaned up," Mitchell said referring to the nurse
"Okay ma" The nurse replied as she takes her to leave
"That man must be a lucky one." Michael retorted
"Indeed, he is." She replied
“Thanks for your help back there. You are part of the reason that man survived. If not, the story would have been a different one,” Mitchell said, still trying to catch her breath.
“It wasn’t my thoughts or doings but that of God, He did it all," Michael replied
"If one doesn't know you too well with the way you speak, one will mistake you as a pastor." She said
They both laughed
"Well I have a mom who holds closely to Him, so how much more me?"
"So much for a loving and caring mother," Mitchell mumbled with a smile
“Indeed she is, hope you’re okay?” Michael asked while gazing at her
“Sure I am, just trying to catch my breath,” Mitchell retorted
"You must be exhausted I guess?" Michael solicited
"Maybe I am but I will be fine" Mitchell countered
"Did you get to see Dr. Kay?" She inquired
"No, he left his office a few minutes before I got there and was told he will be back shortly," He responded
"I believe he went for his morning appointment at the headquarters," Mitchell explained
"Oh! He is a busy man" He replied
"Dr. Kay is a very busy and hardworking person, I learned a lot from him since the last few years of my stay in the hospital." Mitchell commended
"Great potentials he got there," Michael confessed
"Yes, he does have great potentials. I sometimes refer to Dr. Kay as my mentor and father in this field." Mitchell said
Dr. Kay had sighted them already, he is the owner of Global Peace Private Hospital. He is coming in their direction. He is black, tall, and huge in stature.
"Did I hear somebody calling my name?" Dr. Kay excited
They all laughed.
"Good day sir" Michael and Mitchell chorused out.
"A beautiful day to you both." Dr. Kay said with a smiling face.
"Congratulations for a job well-done Dr. Mitchell, because of your great doings a soul lives again.” Dr. Kay announced,
“Thank you very much, sir, thank God we had Dr. Michael around doing the entire process. He was of great help to us back there.” Michael replied,
“Oh! The new Dr. Michael?” Dr. Kay retorted
“Yes sir,” Mitchell replied
“I welcome you especially Dr. Michael and thanks for your help.” Dr. Kay said
“Thank you, sir,” Michael replied
“You must be another scholar in here,” Dr. Kay mentioned
They all laughed
“I will have to excuse you both now, need to run along for another appointment.” Dr. Kay eft
“I will go check up on the patient before I leave for home, one needs to be sure of his condition,” Mitchell said
“That’s a good idea,” Michael added
“See you later Dr. Michael,”
“Alright Dr. Mitchell” They both departed
