It was still dark outside when Peggy Wilson got out of bed and headed for the shower. Her virtual assistant was going to wake her in another half-hour, but she hadn’t been sleeping and couldn’t take staring at the ceiling any longer. As she bathed, she made sure to keep the mesh band in place on her left arm. Bobby had warned her not to let the new biochip communicate with anything until she was ready for it to. After showering and dressing, she dug out the largest travel bag she owned and filled it with all the things that mattered the most.
