“Who's that woman you were kissing the other day?” I asked Ryder as he went down the stairs, dressed fully in tuxedos as he held a suitcase.
“What woman?”.
“The one you were kissing in the kitchen? The other day?”.
He looked at the ceiling and I knew he was pretending to think.
“Oh. She's nobody. She's my ex”.
“Then why were you kissing her?” I snapped at him. I still couldn't wrap my head around what I saw and heard on the night of my marriage.
He grabbed my arm roughly. “You listen to me, Imelda-”.
“It's Isabel. You don't even know your wife's name”. I fired.
“Isabel, you don't have a say in this house and in this marriage so it's best you mind your business and stop asking silly questions. I paid to have you and that makes me lord over you. Stay put and don't overstep your boundaries”. His fingers were pressing into my arm, hurting me and I shrieked in pain.
“But your mother doesn't want me”.
“That's not a big deal. She'll come around”, he said, letting go of my arm. “I hope you know you should quit your job”, he adds, glaring at me with his piercing blue eyes with his left eyebrow c****d.
“Which of them”?
“Both”.
“The laundryman will be here at 12 noon to drop the laundry”.
“T-twelve?”
“Do you have anything you're doing at twelve?”
“I'll be visiting my mother in the hospital”.
“Your mom's in the hospital?”
I nodded slightly. “She has a lung infection”.
I saw his hardened features get soft.
“I'll tell him to come by 2”, he said, turning around and heading towards the door. Through the glass door, I could see that Marco was waiting for him in his car.
“And where are you going?” I asked, crossing my fingers because I knew I was not supposed to pry but I couldn't help it.
“A blind date”, he said before stepping outside and closing the door behind him.
My jaw dropped, my mouth hanging open in surprise. A blind date? What the hell was going on here? I resisted the urge to run after him and ask why he was going on a blind date when he just got married to me.
“Mother, look what you made me do”, I muttered to myself. I had gotten into a marriage with no love and the man I married thought it was okay to kiss his ex while he was married to me, he seemed domineering and his mother did not even accept me as her daughter in-law; she called me a ‘hoe’. I wondered how she knew but I wasn't totally fazed by what she called me, I was just shocked that she found out so quickly.
I went upstairs immediately to get ready to visit the cause of my present misfortune.
“T–the doctor. He said you already settled the bills for my surgery”. My mother said, reaching for my palm. She looked pale and she had lost a lot of weight which made her cheekbones hollow. I almost pitied her.
“Yes, mom. I paid the bills. You can relax, you don’t need to worry”. I gave her a tight smile.
“But how”, She let out a long dry cough. “Where did you get the money from?”
“I got married, mom. My husband gave me the money I used”.
Her eyebrows shot up. “Married? When? How?”
“It's a long story mom, just get better”, I ran my fingers through her scanty hair.
“I need to meet the man”.
“You will”.
“Look”, She gripped my hand tightly. “I know I've not been a good mother, I've been irresponsible and careless and that's why your father left us for another woman. I also know that my neglect caused your sister to drown in the bathtub and I know you can never forgive me but I want you to know I'm deeply sorry and most of all, I'm proud of the woman you've become”.
She opened her mouth to say more but she let out a hacking cough instead.
“You should get some rest, I have to go now”.
She slowly released my hand and I left the hospital and headed home, just in time to wait for the laundry man to arrive.
I was binge watching a season of “Bridgerton” when the doorbell rang and I immediately got up to answer it.
I don't know what I was expecting but I definitely did not expect to see Gabriel, my ex-boyfriend on the other side of the door.
“Jack of all trades, huh?” I asked, one eyebrow raised as I composed myself, struggling to hide how thrown off I was in his presence.
It was satisfying to see the confused look on his face as he went from surprise, to realization, to confusion.
“W-whatcha doing here? You a maid or what?” He asked, trying to peep inside the house.
I let out a short scornful laugh. “You wish. I'm the madam of this house. I'm married to the owner. Now, are you just going to keep standing at my threshold and looking like a fish out of water?”
He frowned at this and I opened the door wider for him to enter, before shutting the door behind me.
He kept gawking as he entered, looking around the house like he was “Alice in Wonderland”.
“So what happened to the mechanic job you had?” I mustered the bossiness in me.
“I quit”.
“You quit or you got fired?”
He swallowed, keeping mute.
“You should come upstairs and drop the clothes”, I said in the sexiest voice I had.
I led him upstairs into the bedroom Ryder and I shared, shutting the door behind me when we entered.
“Leave them there”, I pointed to a corner of the king-sized bed in the room.
“I missed you”, I whispered in his ears. “I wonder why you ghosted me, like that”.
“Yo, you done moved on quick, ain't ya? I broke up with you just three days ago and now you already married? How dat happen, tho?"
“We both know it doesn't matter Gabe. I've missed you so much and you're here now. How about a little send off?” I breathed in his ears, pulling him closer to me as I played with the stubble on his chin.
It was working. Gabe melted under my touch and I could feel the bulge rising in his pants as it pressed against me causing me to suck in a sharp breath.
“You really think we should be doin’ this tho?
“Sure, why not?” I ran my fingers through his hair, bringing his lips to mine. I kissed him passionately and he kissed me back. When Gabe and I used to date, I always used to be the dominant one during s*x.
I pushed him to the bed and pulled down his pants and boxers, catching his huge c**k in my mouth as it sprang free.
“Gosh, I missed this”, he groaned.
I slipped out of the tank top and sweatpants I had on and got on top of him, lowering myself slowly onto him as his c**k slid into me. We both let out a loud moan as I rode back and forth, my huge boobs bouncing in his face. He reached for them, squeezing and pinching my n*****s.
After some time, I could feel the pleasure building up and I was getting ready to climax. I arched my back as I increased my pace. We were both moaning loudly now and I could sense that he was about to come too.
“f**k, Gabe, I love your huge d**k. f*****g c*m inside me”, I screamed into orgasm as I tightened my grip on his shoulders and he squeezed my butt hard while he came inside me.
“f*****g hell, I'm startin’ to wonder why I ever let you go”. He said as we lay side by side in the bed.
“You're just a bloody asshole, that's all”, I stood up from the bed and started to put on my clothes.
“Why did you f**k me tho?” He asked.
“f**k, Gabe you ask too many questions. Why did you leave me in the f*****g first place?”
Before I could get a response, I heard the front door slam and Gabe and I turned to look at each other, eyes widened. Even though having s*x with Gabe was my way of getting back at Ryder, I did not want him to find out that I had s*x with my ex.
“What the f**k?” Gabe jumped up and dressed up quickly.
“My husband's back. What do we do?” I asked hastily.
“Don't come at me wit’ that, I ain't the one creeping with other men behind your husband's back, boo!”
I raised my hand and immediately hit him hard across his face. “You bloody cunt…”
“What's the laundry guy doing in our bedroom?” Ryder's voice boomed throughout the room and I jumped, my heart catching in my chest as beads of sweat started dropping down my face.
Shit!
