I knew that being mated into a family of Alphas and Royalty was going to be an adventure. However, I wasn't, and am still not prepared for everything that goes on in the inner ranks. To be honest, I miss my normal life as a school teacher.
Adam says that I can still teach if I want to, and that the only time my services as a Beta female are even needed is during important meetings, and things of that nature.
So far, my services have been mandatory quite a bit. There is no way I can go back to teaching with things so unpredictable around here.
For example, I am needed today to help prepare housing for a family of vampires, as well as relocate a family who was displaced by the fires during the attack the night I found Adam.
One thing I know for certain: I miss my partner
