"I wouldn't tell anyone about this yet. If that s**t is real, then you just basically got this property for free. That includes the repairs and probably all the contents you plan on selling as well. I would wait for Marilyn to leave, and then pack it up and get it out of here," Grace whispered.
I had to agree. When the gentleman, who identified himself to me as Larry, told me about the safe, and then told me the combination, I wasn't expecting it to be filled with gold bars, various jewels, and probably $50k in cash.
He told me that it was left there by his great-grandfather, the original owner, who had left the gold bars and some of the jewels. He then proceeded to tell me that he had put the cash in there for whoever bought the place.
He said it was to "fix up the place"
