With the obnoxious sound of her alarm, Summer slowly opens her eyes finding the sunlight illuminating her room. She sequinted to adjust her vision and rub her eyes to take the sleepiness away from her eyes.
As she gots up from her bed she can smell the freshly cooked pancake from the kitchen probably made by her grandmother for their breakfast.
Pulling her hair into a bun she went out from her room and heads towards the kitchen seeing her grandmother facing the stove.
"Good morning, Nana," she greeted the old lady who just hummed in response.
She pulls out the chair and occupied it as she waits for the food to be served.
"Today's first day of school. Are you excited?" the old lady asked her still facing the stove.
"Not really. I'll be seeing the same faces this year..specially Lucy. She's still on my class," she replied.
"That's better. At least you have someone close to you," her old lady stated as she turn around to face her with two plates in her hands.
Gently the old lady placed it above the table and sat across her.
"Nana, I am wondering if I can stay at our old house," Summer said making her grandma glance up on her.
"Are you sure about it?" the lady asked her voice is laced with concern.
Summer smiled to assured her grandma.
"Yes. Besides, I gotta accept the reality. To do it, first I must face what I feared," she replied smiling. "I miss our house. I made a lot of memories there with Mom and Dad," she added.
Her grandma sighed and nod her head knowing that it will also be better for Summer to slowly move on from the death of her parents and if ever Summer can't do it, her grandmother will always behind her to support and consule her.
After the breakfast Summer went back to her room to change into her clothes for school. She stares at her reflection in the mirror and saw how she changed after her parents died. She saw her eyes didn't have the sparkle that it used to have before. Her eyes throws cold stares and her lips are pursed into thin lines.
She changed and she didn't notice it before.
She bid her grandmother good bye before she step out of their house and off to the bus stop.
The bus will take five to ten minutes before arriving and she mentally thanked her alarm for ringing loud. She still got time to wait for the bus without worrying that she'll be late.
She rocks her heels back and forth while turning her head from right to to left to see any incoming bus.
Not long after a bus stops right in front of her and she immediately boards it. Greeting the driver and made her way to look for a vacant seat.
She spotted a seat next to a window.
"Excuse me, can I seat here?" she asked the guy sitting right next to her desired seat.
He looks up and nod at her.
"Yeah. Sure," he replied with his deep voice.
Summer smiled and immediately occupied the seat next to him.
She stare outside the window as the bus starts to move.
When the bus arrives in front of the campus the guy immediately get up from his seat and Summer followed him.
It was her first time seeing him. The campus isn't that huge so it's easy for students to know each other. Probably this guy is a new comer.
"SUMMER!!!" a voice from the crowd make Summer look around. There she finds her one and only best friend. Lucy.
"We're on the same class!" Lucy exclaimed.
"Yeah and I'm tired seeing your face," Summer joked.
Lucy let out a pout making Summer to pinch her cheeks.
"Let's go?" Summer cling her hands on Lucy's arms as they walk down the hallway going to their first class.
"Guess what?" Lucy started as they take their seats on the room. "There's a new comer from Australia and he's kinda hot. Saw his file because Sam showed me," she added giggling.
Sam, Lucy's twin brother. A dancer and every girls' dream boy.
You waited for your first subject teacher to arrives.
It's first day of senior years and Summer is hoping that this year will be good to her not wanting to repeat what happened on last year wherein she messed on the prom leaving a bad impression on her date.
"I'm moving to our old house," she said out of nowhere making Lucy glance at her.
"Already? Is it fine with you?" her friend asked.
"Yeah. First step of accepting the reality. Yay!" she replied.
She's about to reply when their teacher enters the room and Boy is following her.
Summer recognised the boy as the one she shared a seat in the bus. The boy stands in good height with not so thick and not so thin body build. His silver undercut hair make him looks more attractive than any boys in their campus.
"We have a new student for this year and he'll be your classmate," Mrs. Park stated. "Introduce yourself, youngman," she added looking at the boy.
The boy clears his throat as he scan his eyes around the room.
"I'm Felix. Lee Felix from Australia. It's nice to be here," he said and smiled.
Summer feels her heart beats a little faster than the normal rate.
It can not be...
First day of class and she already got a crush!?
She chuckled at the thought and brush it away from her mind. Then, she focused on their lesson even she glance at him from time to time. Thankfully he's sitting in front of her making it easy for her to take stolen glances from the boy.
After the first subject Lucy drags her out of the room going to their next subject. Lucy is a time conscious girl she doesn't want to be late and if that happens she feels like she made a great mistakes in her life.
But Summer keeps thinking of how cute and attractive the new comer is that she doesn't realise that Lucy already pulled her down on her seat.
"Earth to Summer! You're densed!" Lucy exclaimed snapping her fingers in front of Summer.
"Hehe. Sorry...," She replied grinning.
Lucy rolled her eyes.
Summer sighed and look at the door when the Felix entered it looking like a model and Summer immediately feels her cheeks heat up.
She immediately looks the other way avoiding herself from staring at him even more.
Bitting her lower lip she reminds herself that she needs to focus on her study more than anything else. And she won't Lee Felix to distract her.
Not.
Never.
No!
