Chapter Eleven

Today is the day I head to London for a few days to find any information that could help me with these documents I was given almost a week ago. I get up and get my morning routine done and then get dressed into some comfy clothes as it is about a 2-hour journey to get to London from Fazeley, Tamworth, yes, I have finally told you the location of our new house. I grab some breakfast and a coffee before I head out as I have to get a bus just before 11am and then a train at 11:20am, with my breakfast finished I grab my bag and head out the door leaving the I.C.E. on the fridge for the lads. I will also be sending them text messages with my location attached as an extra precaution due to the fact that people from my home planet could still be after me due to the war probably not doing what they expected it to do. I put my coffee into one of my reusable coffees to go mugs and head off to the local bus stop to get the bus to the train station, it is about a 5-minute walk so not too bad as it looks like it is about to rain, just typical. Prewarning this is going to be a long chapter as it will be covering the three days that I will be in London and I will not be skipping anything, so I apologize now. I am only at the bus stop for about 10 minutes before the bus shows up, so I get up pay for my ticket and go towards the back of the bus to sit on the seats that are positioned above the wheel arches. I put in my headphones and listen to some music; I also text the boys in the group chat letting them know I have just gotten on the bus to go to the train station. As the bus pulls out of the stop, the heavens open and it tosses down with rain, well that was good timing. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the bus interchange, I depart the bus and walk to the train station to Euston Station, London. As I get to the platform, I see the train pulling into the station about 5 minutes early I board the train straight after collecting my ticket and sit down in one of the seats near the door but also has a table so I can use my laptop. Once I get all set up, the train sets off for the journey to London. I open my laptop to do some last-minute checks that I have booked the correct dates and look for some nice places to get some food while I am there. As the train pulls into King’s Cross Station, I pack everything up and depart the train once it comes to a complete stop. I text the lads to let them know I got to the station safely. I head to a nearby café to grab a bite to eat and a coffee before heading to the hotel to check in and drop my stuff off. I grab a sandwich and a flat white, I eat/drink these on the way to the hotel as I would like to do a bit of sight-seeing before the busy work starts. I check in and head to my room on the first floor, I let the lads know I have checked in. I will send location messages during my time here, so it is easier than typing a paragraph out each time. I know it is a lot for a weekend in London and a bit over the top, but you have to remember my home planet leaders could come after me at any chance/point in time they want. I unlock the door and do a room check for no secret hidden cameras (you can never be too sure these days), once satisfied I place my bags on the bed before heading out to do some sight-seeing and take some photos. I take the tube to London Bridge (via Circle Line) and just take a stroll to see where it takes me, I head east towards the London Eye taking pictures along the way. As you can imagine it is busy in London due to people commuting to and from work as well as tourists; they always choose the capital to visit when coming to England. I hang around the London Eye for a bit as I want to ride it and take some lovely landscape photos of London as it is really a beautiful day. After an hour wait, I finally managed to get onto the London Eye, and I had taken some amazing photos while I was up there. The guy even stopped me at the top so I could take a panoramic shot of the whole landscape. As I got off, I tipped him and said thanks, we do not generally tip in the UK it was like a thank you tip, I walk over the bridge to go visit Westminster Abbey as I have never seen it before. I have been to London a few times in the past but never really did the whole tourist sight-seeing visit. I spend about an hour in the Abbey, taking plenty of photos; I then head to Westminster Tube Station to grab the tube back to the hotel so I could grab something to eat from a local restaurant before getting to work. It takes about half an hour to get back to King’s Cross Station and I walk towards the hotel I stop at Bisou Café Diner for some food. After my lovely meal I walk around the corner to my hotel to settle down for the remainder of the evening. I get in and grab my laptop out of my bag as well as the car reader to take the photos I have taken today off my camera as a backup. I decide to just watch some Netflix and have an early night see as the next two days are going to be busy as hell. ***Next Day*** I wake up to my alarm going off telling me that it is 8am, I groan as I turn it off and drag myself out of bed and into the bathroom to do my morning routine. I go back to the café diner I went to last night to get some breakfast and a coffee before I grab all the documents to take to the museum to find something or anything that could help. I order myself some egg, bacon, sausage, chips, and beans dish with a coffee to fill me up for a while, so I am not working and then my stomach deciding it is hungry in like 2 hours. I devour my food and coffee then head back to the hotel. *Hey, Celeste what do you think these texts could be hiding* *Honestly Kia, I have no idea. I am just hoping it is worth all of this trouble we are doing* *I wonder if it is like some history of how we all came to be, oh or a way to go to another planet* *Okay Kia, getting a bit excited there although it would be cool if it were something like that* *I cannot wait to find out, I love a good mystery* *Oh, I know you do* I grab the folder containing the documents and leave the room and lock it. I head to King’s Cross tube station to catch the Piccadilly Line train to Russell Square tube station. I only wait a few minutes before the train turns up so I hop on and take the 10-minute journey listening to music and clutching my belongings close to me, there are so many pick pockets in London so cannot be too cautious. As the train pulls into my stop I get up and stand by the doors for the train to stop. Once the door open, I exit and head towards the museum to start my research on the documents. I walk up to the front desk and hand the lady my ticket as some exhibit halls requires a ticket to enter, other than that it is free entry. The library inside the museum is also ticketed which is something I got as this will be one of the places I will be in for a while, the rest is to fulfil my curiosity and I like museums and history. I spend a few hours just looking around the exhibits and reading about each and every one of them as I like to learn new things along the way. I then head to the library at the back to start doing my research, as I approach the desk, I see a woman reading and a quiet at all times signs. Well, no-one likes to study in a noisy area I guess unless you are a student. “Erm, hi, can you tell me where I could find books on ancient, or disused languages please?” I ask the lady in a quiet voice but loud enough that could still here me. “Oh, hi, yeah so if you head down this isle it will be the fourth one down on your left.” She kindly replies while pointing in the direction I need to go. “Thank you.” I say as I grab my file off the desk. “No problem, if you need anything just ask.” She adds a I walk off in the direction she pointed. I count the row s as I come to them and turn down the fourth one on the left, I see this whole row is just languages. Oh god this is going to take all day to go through. I decide to look around for a small table and chair I could place in this section to use while I work so I do not have to keep running backwards and forwards a million times. After 10 minutes of looking, I managed to find a table and chair, so I dragged it over and started working. I look at my phone to see 3 hours have passed and a text from Derek asking me how it was going. I reply not so good, but I will keep trying as I do not give up so easily. I decide to now should be a good time to get some food and take a mini break, so I head into the little café next to the library to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. Once my order was done, I brought it into the library so I could eat it while I continued working as the more, I do, the quicker I can identify the language the documents are written in. another 6 hours pass and it is almost closing time when I stumble upon a book that looks like it contains text similar to that of the one used on these documents, so I head up to the desk to see if I could check the books out or at least get some photocopies of the pages I required. “Erm, hi sorry to bother you is there any chance I can check these out or get some pages I need photocopied?” I ask really nicely. “Oh, yeah you can check it out.” The women reply. “Really, that’s great.” I speak as she checks it out. I put it in my bag with everything else and head back to my hotel room to finally attempt to translate these documents.
