Change of Heart Pt. 3

I pulled back my lips from hers and increased my pace, “No getting hurt Lexi.” Lexi moaned, “Chase….” I bit right below her ear then whispered, “I said no getting hurt.” She screamed her orgasm. I removed my fingers. I carried her to a barstool and sat down with her on top. “Ride me sweetheart.” Lexi’s eyes were burning with lust. I knew mine matched her own. She said, “The chicken will be ready in fifteen minutes. I kissed her, “Then you’d better hurry.” She slammed down onto me. I threw my head back, “f**k LEXI!” She laughed and bit my neck. Hard. Bolt was hoping she would mark us. Honestly… I’d like her to. She didn’t though. She definitely left several hickey’s as we both climaxed as the timer on the oven went off.” Lexi got off me and pulled her skirt back down. She smiled at me over her shoulder, “Plates are in the cabinet on the right.” I nodded and grabbed my shorts from the floor. I grabbed two plates, and she put both our portions out. The second the chicken hit my mouth I moaned, “This is the best goddamn chicken I have ever tasted in my entire life.” Lexi laughed, “I spent some time in France. My neighbor was a chef, and she gave me some recipes. Sally’s is better though.” I inhaled my food, “I don’t know how that’s possible.” Lexi shrugged, “Sally’s cooking in magic. That’s really the only explanation.” I smiled, “She seems very nice.” Lexi smiled, “She’s one of the nicest people I know.”         We ate the rest of our meal making small talk. We cleaned the dishes together both taking our time. Not wanting to leave. I kissed her. “I’m still staying here tonight.” Lexi smiled, “I’m glad. Maybe when they pass out, I’ll sneak over here.” I laughed, “Going to drink them under the table, are you?” Lexi snorted, “Ummm duh. I can hold my liquor better than both of them.” I laughed, “Of course you can.” Matt linked me, “We have the location of the bookie you want to throttle.” I sighed, “You need to go to your friends, and I need to handle a few things.” I linked Kevin and Kincade, “I need you on Lexi.” Kevin replied, “We are already outside. Matt sent us over fifteen minutes ago.” I walked outside with Lexi. I kissed her hard at the barrier. “Take Kevin and Kincade with you to Ted’s.” Lexi laughed, “I suppose pointing out six warriors outside a fairy protected house is pointless?” I kissed her again, “At least you know it’s pointless to argue.” She laughed and said, “I have some things to get inside before I leave.” I kissed her again, “I still don’t know how to leave you.” Lexi smiled, “I still want you to tell me when you figure it out.” Matt cleared his throat, “I had to leave Ted. Come on Chase. Let’s go. I even stole a Lexi scented hoodie for you from Ted’s house.” I whirled. I kissed Lexi again then forced myself to leave.              Lexi called, “Bye Chase. I’ll be sure to drunk text you later.” I laughed, “I'll look forward to that.” Matt said, “OHHH I can’t WAIT for drunk Ted texting.” I said, “You know who needs to get drunk together?” Matt said, “Who?” I said, “Beta Dylan and TeleTed. We’d have to record it.” Matt howled, ‘That would be hilarious.” We shifted and ran back to the house. Derrick was there waiting. I evaluated him, “You ok now, Derrick?” Derrick nodded, “Weirdest thing. I’m fine now. I’ve got fifteen warriors loaded up. Let’s go.” I nodded. I looked around but didn’t see the car I’d damaged earlier. Derrick said, “I got it to the shop. Hopefully your dad was too busy with the young warriors to notice.” I said, “Even if he wasn’t, an attack happened in my territory. An attack on our Beta Male’s friends. I’m allowed to be pissed.” I got in the driver seat and started the car. Matt said, “So I only get to drive when you’re so angry you’re destroying cars? Not even when I know where we are going, and you don’t?” I said, “Just give directions.” I started the car, and we took off. When we were close enough, we got out. It was a secluded cabin we could attack in wolf form. We took off. I smelled blood. A lot of blood. We came upon ten dead bodies outside the cabin. I burst into the cabin, found more dead people then found an office. I came face to face with the hood himself. He had on a hood where you could only see his mouth. His eyes had a covering, but you could barely make them out anyway. He had a sword in his hand dripping blood. I shifted back. One of my warriors came in with shorts for Matt and I. Matt shifted. The hood smirked. “You must be Beta Matt Miller, our TeleTed’s string.”              Matt said, “I am.” The hood said, “I am glad to see Ted so happy, and I’m glad you have progressive Alpha. I’d have disliked waging war against your pack and your allies, but it would’ve been done.” I said, “We came to avenge what happened in our area today. To our Beta Male’s friend.” The hood said, “Then you and I both somehow arrived a tid bit late. You more so than me.” I said, “You didn’t kill everyone outside?” The hood laughed, “Oh no. I did kill those outside. I killed the three in the main room too. This man though.” He pointed at the man with a bullet through his brain. “He was who I wanted to talk to. The silencer burn on his head suggests his men outside didn’t know who anyone had gotten through. Whoever his killer was, that person didn't want to fight all those men.” I said, “Your man named Noah or his family; could they do this? That’s who this was about according to our information.” The hood shook his head, “They are locked down right now. It couldn’t have been them.” I said, “Does Noah have a brother or sister that could’ve done this?” The hood laughed, “He has a younger brother. He’s a bit of an ass, but he’s also on lockdown.” I said, “So the brothers are alike.” I looked down and noticed a tape in the Hood’s hands. The hood looked at me, “You’d be Alpha Chase then.” I said, “I would be.” The hood said, “What do you know about Noah?” I smirked. This was easier than I’d thought it was going to be.             “Ironically enough, I was looking into a way to get information to you. I thought that would be difficult.” I told him. The hood tensed, “Why were you looking for me?” I said, “TeleTed is a wealth of information. Told my Beta all about his partner, Lexi Scott, and her first love. He seems to think she needs to get laid.” The hood laughed, “He would.” I fought my growl, “My Beta informed me this Noah person, who is the string of Sally Quaid, tricked Lexi Scott the night before her birthday. Apparently, it messed her up good.” The hood said, “Did he? I’ll have to ask her what that means. Though I have a good idea what could’ve gone down now that you put it that way.” I said, “My information says Noah is a danger to both Sally and Lexi. Wolves heard him outside her office today saying that he wanted them both. He was afraid Sally would reject him but thought maybe that meant he could have Lexi.” The hood stiffened, “That will NOT happen.” I said, “Not in this are it won’t. Keep Noah away from here. He’s not welcomed, and he a kill on site target to our pack.” The hood frowned. I said, “Have you played that?” I pointed to the tape. The hood said, “Not yet. Do you know what it is?” I said, “I have a pretty good idea. Something tells me you won’t like it. It was interesting to meet you.” The hood said, “Likewise. You are not what I thought you would be. The young Alpha. I didn’t even think you’d look into this. Or I’d have already been gone.” I smirked, “Not my style to do nothing.” The hood said, “So I see.”              I went outside, “Get rid of the bodies. Once the hood leaves in a blur you will have to watch for, search the cabin. I’d imagine he took everything of interest but see if you can’t find something he missed. He probably thinks this was just a bookie out for money. We know otherwise. I want everything you can find.” They nodded, “Yes, Alpha.” I looked at the time, “Come on Matt. Derrick stay here and monitor the cleanup.” Derrick nodded. We got in the car, “He seems distracted. Matt nodded, “He will be fine. A good night's sleep and a TeleTed talk will fix him right up. Why are we leaving?” I pointed at the clock as I started the car. “Susie will be done with school shortly. I want to hear about how it went.” Matt nodded and I gunned it back to the house. I ran inside and grabbed a shirt in my office. I watched Susie come out of the school with Wendy and another girl. They were all animatedly talking. Susie was beaming. I turned to see both Nadine and my dad smiling at the scene. Nadine was wiping tears away from her eyes. Susie waved her friends and ran over to Nadine and dad. She was talking a mile a minute. She looked at my office and I waved to her. She squealed and grabbed both their hands and led them to the house.” She slammed the front door open and barreled into my office. I caught her in a hug.             “CHASE! CHASE! CHASE! I had the BEST DAY EVER! My class is the BEST! I have two new friends! Wendy and Charlotte. They both said they would come to my tea party! HERE! They can come, can’t they?” I laughed, “Of course they can. Your friends are welcome here.” Susie squealed, “I HAVE FRIENDS CHASE! Real friends not imaginary ones! You are the BEST big brother EVER EVER EVER!” I laughed. A warrior linked me, “Alpha Sophia is pacing her border like a… well like a raving lunatic.” I sighed, “Susie, I have to go, but I’m so glad you had a good day.” She smiled, “BEST.DAY.EVER!” She ran to Nadine and started recounting her day from the minute we left. I linked Matt, “We need to get to our border.” My dad said, “You were right. About her going to school. It’s good. It’s the right thing to do. I also know you are hiding something, but you seem better today.” I said, “I’m handling it. Speaking of, I have to go handle Sophia.” My dad laughed, “Your Gamma brought back a prisoner from her territory. I’d imagine that’s why she’s upset.” I laughed, “Thanks for the heads up.” I linked Derrick, “You already got Former Gamma Wyatt.” Derrick replied, “They practically gift wrapped him for me. I didn’t even have to argue with anyone. It might have been the crazy angry look in my eye, or it was the fact that Matt told me you were going with the husband reason. I walked into their territory and told them you were going to question him as her husband. I’d like to say it was angry eyes, but who can positively say which reason is why they gave him to me with a little bow on his head.” I said, “You are amazing Derrick.” Derrick replied, “Is that the kind of amazing meaning you’ll overlook my blow up this morning?” I said, “I’m only worried about you Derrick. I don’t care that you got upset.” Derrick sighed, “I don’t know what’s going on.” I said, “We will figure it out.”             I met Matt outside and we shifted yet again running for our border. Sophia saw us and ran behind a tree and shifted. She was frazzled. She was looking everywhere around. “Sophia…. Are you alright?” She said, “What? Yes… I… I’m fine.” Matt said, “You look fine. You don’t have any sort of crazy eyed thing going on right now.” I said, “What’s up?” Beta Alfred stepped about from behind the trees, “You took a prisoner of ours.” Sophia said, “Huh? Oh yeah… right. Why did you take Wyatt?” I said, “I want to have a chat. As I’m your husband, I have the right to your prisoners.” Sophia snorted, “So I can take your prisoners.” I smirked, “You could try. Unlike whoever is guarding your dungeons… they would’ve asked me.” Sophia glared at me, “They did ask me you twit.” That surprised me, “You agreed?” Sophia sighed, “Maybe you can get answers where I couldn’t. If we can get information gathered, then this can all be over sooner.” Matt was stunned, “You want this to be over?” Sophia said, “Of course I do! This wasn’t supposed to be how it was. They were supposed to see my skills while Chase was gone! The Princess was right. I SHOULD be who all first born Alpha and even Beta she wolves look to. I’m running my pack, and if not for one stupid name on the traitors list…. I’d sign the damn papers. Get Wyatt to talk about Alfred’s dad Chase. This will be done and over.” I was in a state of shock. I didn’t care what her reason was. I nodded, “I’ll do my best.” Alpha Sophia said, “Please do. I need him back in seventy-two hours. I suppose we can just pass him back and forth.” I said, “Why do you need him back?” Sophia said, “I still want to get answers. I am merely allowing you to try your hand at them as well. We will pass him back and forth, or I’ll take him back.” I said, “Fine.”              Matt said, “HOLD ON!” We all turned Beta Alfred sighed. “Is NO ONE going to ask about her one hundred and sixty degree turn on this subject?” I said, ‘Who cares?” Matt raised his hand, “I do.” Sophia said, “My reasons are none of your business. I want this done and over with. I’ve jumped on your train. Let’s get this done.” Matt said, “Yeah, I don’t follow your orders. I’m just hoping whatever reason you have for jumping on the train, doesn’t cause you to jump off. You don’t get to toy with MY Alpha that way.” Alfred growled and Matt did too. I said, “Let’s just put a pin in this. For now… and hopefully for a very long time. We are all on the same side.” Sophia smiled, “We have a drop dead date, but hopefully we can get this put to rest sooner.” I nodded. Matt said, “If you weren’t out here pacing because we had your prisoner…. Why WERE you out here pacing with crazy eyes?” Sophia said, “Thought I smelled something.” Matt snorted. I linked him, “Let’s just go Matt.” Matt said, “I don’t know what’s happened here, but I WILL find out.” Sophia said, “You can try.” Matt said, “Ohhh, I will more than try. You have Alpha blood, but Beta blood runs through my veins, sugar. Getting answers is what we do.”             Alfred huffed at him and Sophia actually worried. If I cared I would be intrigued. I linked Derrick, “Are you back?” Derrick said, “Just got back. We found a hard drive. It’s pretty damaged, but we’ve got a techy warrior who geeked out about trying to pull data off it. He loves the Hood, the person, and the people. He has requested if we get information if we get word to The Hood himself, he gets to deliver the data. I made the deal.” I said. “Great meet us at the dungeons.” Derrick said, “Oh good. FINALLY somewhere to work off my angry energy. I keep getting denied. First Sophia’s people just HAND me Wyatt, then the Hood killed everyone we were going to kill. I’ll beat you guys there.” I snorted. He was right. Derrick said, “What’s up Matt?” Matt said, “Alpha Sophia is suddenly gung-ho to get the annulment. Chase here isn’t curious.” Derrick frowned, “She wants to sign the papers already though. They have a date ready to go.” Matt said, “Derrick, she LET you take Wyatt so we could pass him back and forth. She wants to see if we can get answers to settle this sooner.” Derrick’s eyebrows shot to the roof, “Did she now?” I said, “Again… Who cares?” Derrick and Matt replied at the same time, “We do.” I groaned, “For the love of GOD why? She’s finally onboard.” Matt raised an eyebrow, “On board would be handing the papers over to us signed. She suddenly has a sense of urgency. It’s fine. You and your Alpha blood don’t understand, but the Beta and Gamma blood have got you.” I rolled my eyes. Derrick said, “Whatever changed her mind could change back, and she could stall until her February date.” I snarled, “Then let’s go get some answers for Wyatt.” I walked into the dungeons. Wyatt came into view. I had to hand it to Sophia. She’d done some work on the man. I growled, “Hello Wyatt.” Wyatt lifted his head before looking back down. “Hello Alpha Chase.” I smirked. This could be fun.
