Who's Coming to Dinner Pt. 2

        I spoke to Robert letting him know not to put the word out about Lexi. He looked as if I’d offended him when he said they didn’t gossip about werewolf affairs. Maybe HE didn’t. Younger vampires found most supernaturals fascinating along with the gossip that goes with them. I was stunned that Robert admitted to being present the day Haley was freed from King Damon. I linked Matt, “You didn’t know about that? I never saw that in a report.” Matt said, “I did know that it was him. Alpha Conners ripped through vampires left and right. Robert’s not wrong. Alpha Conners became a vampire killing machine. It was all because Haley had some collar on. She screamed for someone to get it off. She was trying to herself, but...I’m guessing there was magic placed on it. She was digging at her own throat. It was….awful. Her guard got it off of her, but….he came from behind her with a knife. She didn’t even turn around. Alpha Conners became enraged after that. We didn’t have to kill more than five vampires after it happened. He ran inside to find Haley the second the last vampire fighting was dead. Whom by the way he killed himself. The rest of us were dealing with cleanup. I didn’t ever go inside the castle. I heard Alpha Conners yelling at, who we now know to be, Robert though. I just didn’t know who it was at the time. You should’ve heard Alpha Eric when he found her….The man is just f*****g hot.” I rolled my eyes. Robert seemed to admire Haley. Seriously? Who didn’t like the fairy princess at this point? Robert picked up that I didn’t want Alpha Eric to know about Lexi and I. His eyes were delighted. He pointed out he probably already knew. Matt pointed out knowing and thinking were two different things. Robert laughed saying our politics were strange. Not strange, I just didn’t want a fairy princess to find something creatively horrible to do to me. Susanna expressed her happiness for both Ted and Lexi. Ted told her he wanted details. Matt had gone ridgid. I linked him “He just wants gossip Matt.” 

        When Susanna told Ted he’s had a vampire before Kincade linked me, “Oh f**k us all.” I looked at the smirk on her face. She knew exactly what she’d done. Matt growled. Robert scooped up Susanna and teased her as they left. I linked Matt, “He’s with you now. He’s your marked mate. The vampire doesn’t matter.” Matt linked, “Oh because you’ll be all calm, cool, and collected if Lexi was with a vampire? I’d absolutely believe that. Given how calm you were about her angel.” I growled. All those feelings I’d had when Ted told us about her angel came flooding back into my veins. Bolt growled, “Claim mate!!” Matt and Ted were arguing. I was trying to stop Bolt from attacking Lexi’s neck and marking her. Bolt was fighting me. I said, “Bolt, I’ll claim her, we just can’t mark her.” Bolt growled, “Yes we can… we CAN mark her; you WON’T.” I said, “I’ll mate her all damn night though, Bolt.” Bolt grumbled. Ted was saying this vampire, who apparently, may come calling on Ted for a feed and f**k at some point, was a nice guy. Kevin linked, “That will be an….interesting evening for us all. I seriously hope I’m around when this vampire pops up.” Him and me both. Matt linked me, “THE f**k?! I WILL KILL THIS VAMPIRE.” I said, “You can only kill him if he doesn’t back off once he knows Ted is yours.” Matt linked me, “OH f**k YOUR LOGIC AND s**t!” I shrugged and Matt dragged Ted off.

        Lexi started laughing as soon as their whole party had left. I linked Kevin and Kincade, “Get outside.” Both  nodded. I growled. I wanted to know if she’d been with a vampire. They were known for their s****l appetite, and being good in bed. I could make her feel better than they ever could. She was mine. I pinned Lexi against the wall. She said she hadn’t and asked if I had. Seriously? Of course not. Most vampires can’t stand the smell of us. Very few manage, and they are either young or fairly old looking for something new to do. She said no vampires for her. My need to claim her doubled because that just reminded me of her angel. She seemed stunned that I knew about him. I wasn’t surprised Ted hadn’t told her. He didn’t know it was relevant to me at the time, and he’d met his mate that night. It was probably a blur to him. Considering he literally couldn’t stop talking after saying he couldn’t talk about it. Lexi watched Kincade and Kevin leave. As soon as she looked back at me my mouth was hers. I bit her lip. She was mine. Every inch of her. No f*****g angel could compare to what we have. She had no idea how I fought every instinct, my wolf, and every physical particle in my body to not go claim her on her damn office floor that night. She spoke. Oh no. I was talking. I entered her soaking wet p***y with my finger telling her she was mine. No one would see her face as she lost herself to an orgasm. Or the cute eye flutter she did when I touched her. That was mine. She said my name as she came. I smirked.

        I spanked her for talking when I told her not to. I played with her c**t, and kept on spanking her. I could see and smell that she was close. She seemed surprised she’d come that way. I wasn’t done with her by a long shot. I buried myself in her. When she was close I told her to scream she was mine. She barely whispered it. I bit her marking spot harder than I’d ever allowed myself before. I didn’t break the skin though. Her little gasp made me want to more than I’d ever wanted to do anything else. I held back. She finally screamed she was mine. When we were done she asked if I’d marked her. I was stunned. No part of her seemed upset. She’d thought I’d marked her, and she….she seemed fine with it. Bolt snorted, “See? Mark Mate.” I rubbed her marking spot telling her it was pleasurable to be touched there by me because she was mine. She teased me saying I couldn’t make her come by biting her mark. I thrust into her. Once my mark was there I could make her come by biting, licking, breathing, or running my damn fingers over it. I was trying to prove it to her by biting harder. She screamed my name. I pulled back. I gently put her down. Bolt was roaring, “JUST MARK HER! MARK MATE! LET ME DO IT!” I said, “Bolt no!” He managed to take over. Before he blocked me out I said, “Bolt….please...do not hurt her!” He said, “I won’t EVER hurt her!” I said, “It’s not your fault I’m an i***t and got married, but do not do this. Please.” He locked me out. I couldn’t even hear what they were saying to each other. He could only keep me locked out so long like this. It took a lot of effort on his part, and he’d never done it before. We generally speaking got along.

        I kept fighting trying to break down his wall between us. So I could at least hear them. Panic was all I felt. What if he marked her, and she wasn’t ready? I’d have to keep her close. I couldn’t give her any space if she was marked. I’d need her. f**k! Cameron was going to have to break ground sooner on our joint house if she was so pissed she didn’t want to see me. I’d become weak without her, and I’d need him to be the Alpha. Part of me knew that Lexi would stay near me if she knew about Bolt becoming weak. I didn’t plan to tell her, but her new pal, my father, he’d tell her in a heartbeat. I finally managed to break through and take back over. I instantly looked at her neck. Both disappointment and relief took over. Bolt snorted, “I felt that. You secretly wished I’d marked her so it would be done. I’m keeping that in mind.” Lexi spoke letting me know she was fine. I told her when she said his name, he’d been determined. He locked me out, and I couldn't have stopped him from marking her. I thought he might mark her forcibly. That would’ve hurt Lexi physically and emotionally. Bolt snorted, “I’d never force her. I’m not a monster.” I said, “I know you're not. It would’ve been my fault not yours. I’ve been making you and myself deny something we both long for. It wouldn’t have been your fault if you did it.” Lexi assured me they just talked. I snorted. I could smell we’d had s*x again. She told me Bolt was tender. I linked, “Tender? YOU?” Bolt said, “She’s….special. She’s mate.” I asked Lexi how she stopped him. Bolt has wanted to mark her since we first smelled her. She said she told him I’d be upset. That was absolutely not the whole story. 

        I told her we should go home. She smiled and said I was her home. Bolt linked, “That’s what got her tender love making from an Alpha wolf. She said we were her home.” I said, “My heart has never felt so warm in my entire life.” Bolt said, “Yes, the moment could only be better if you MARKED HER! Dumbass.” I said, “Annoying mutt.” Bolt said, “Correct mutt. And that’s correct Alpha mutt to you.” I had my lips on Lexi’s again. I stayed buried deep inside her for several hours. My dad linked, “The vampire king wants to speak with you at first dark Monday.” I said, “Of course he does.” My dad linked, “What happened?” I said, “Lexi’s friend who covered for Sally is the mate of his second.” My dad said, “Isaac is telling me that’s not only his second, but the King’s child.” I said, “It is.” My dad whistled, “Oh good.” I said, “Tell him we can meet.” My dad said, “Thanks. Matt’s not answering Isaac. His link is blocked.” I linked back, “Susanna let it slip that Ted had a vampire f**k buddy.” My dad roared with laughter. I picked Lexi up, “Let’s get you into a hot relaxing bath.” Lexi nodded. Kincade and Kevin followed in her car. The day was clearly weighing on her mind. I carried her inside. I laid her on the bed and got her bath running. She lazily stripped and sat in the tub. I got in behind her. “We are so behind.” She said. I said, “On what?” Lexi sighed, “If this plan has something to do with my mom’s ex….we are decades behind them planning wise. How can we win?” I turned her head to face me, “I will NEVER let him have you Lexi.” It pained me to say the next part, “IF he gets you….I will hunt him down with every ally I have. You are MINE! He cannot have you. I don’t care if that means Haley or Alpha Conners finds out about us. We will ALL track him down, and bring you home.” She nodded, “Please….don’t ever give up on me.” I turned her around to straddle me, “I will never give you up Lexi Scott. I will NEVER stop searching for you, and I will keep my allies searching for you until you are back where you belong. I will never stop.” She smiled and nestled into me, “I love you Chase.”

        I stilled. She’d never said that sober. I said, “I love you too.” She kissed me lightly, and promptly fell asleep. I snorted. Drunk and near sleep declarations of love. She….was mine. I got us out of the tub, and dried off. I didn’t bother with clothes for either of us as I put us both in bed. I spent all of Sunday with Lexi. Mostly eating and having s*x. I had told my dad unless there was a rogue attack or fire not to bother me. He’d laughed and agreed. When Monday rolled around...I didn’t want to leave her, but she just laughed and got ready for work. I linked Kevin and Kincade, “Get additional warriors with you today. Ask your other brothers, and the additional guards for Sally in place.” Kincade said, “Getting Ken and Kyler.” Their mother was obsessed with all her children having the same letter to start their name. It was impressive given there were two more boys and two girls in their family. I kissed Lexi goodbye at her car, and ran to my office. Derrick was there with Sally, but Ted wasn’t there.” Sally giggled, “Derrick, I need to go to work.” Derrick growled. I said, “The extra guards are in place. Opal and Willow are waiting by the car.” Derrick grumbled but walked Sally outside. Matt said, “Somehow...he’s worse than both of us combined. They are so f*****g adroable together though. It’s moderately sickening how insanely happy they are.” I said, “That’s how people feel about you and Ted.” Matt said, “You just can’t help it once you mark you mate…” His eyes went wide, “I’m sorry Chase.” It hurt but I  said, “No offense taken. I’m sure one day, I’ll agree.” Bolt said, “You could agree now.” I said, “Are you going to tell me what you and Lexi talked about?” Bolt said, “Marking her.”

        I sighed, “So she didn’t want it then.” Bolt said, “She wanted all of us to be on the same page. She’s fairly certain she’s ready. YOU are the hold up here.” His words gave me pause. “Fairly certain is not certain.” Bolt said, “HENCE why she is not marked. I think it’s you though. I think she wants you to want to mark her.” I growled, “I WANT to, you know that.” My dad walked in, “Chase?” I cleared my mind and looked at my dad. He said, “Alpha Conners is….here.” I said, “Matt, you already got a meeting with him?” Matt said, “Yes. Hello people. My sister is married to his brother. If we want something, we’ve got the inside track to the Conners family. You are welcome.” I laughed. My dad closed the door, “He can’t hear us now right?” I said, “Right.” My dad said, “I invited Lexi to Thanksgiving dinner. Kinda stole your thunder, not sorry. You were acting like a jackass that day. If you ever walk out on your mate again without talking to her, I’ll take you over my knee and whoop your ass boy. I don’t care how old you are. You do NOT run away, even if she does. You are an Alpha. Be an Alpha.” I gaped. Matt snorted. My dad continued, “It should NOT take your Beta to convince you to speak to your own damn mate. You have fights, and you talk them out. Your mother and I sometimes took space, but you don’t just leave without a word, son. Especially not someone who was clearly in a manipulative relationship. You should’ve seen the look on her face. Damn near ripped my heart out. Even your warriors, your STRONGEST warriors said OUT LOUD they couldn’t be mad at her when she looked so damn sad.” With that he left. Matt linked me, “Your dad did always have the best exit lines.” I felt like complete s**t, “Yeah, he does.” 

        Alpha Eric and Alpha Jackson walked into the office. Alpha Eric said, “I feel I see you so much now that you are home Alpha Chase. Actually since my Angel has come into my life...I see ALL my allies all the damn time now.” Alpha Jackson snorted, “It’s so interesting. I have never been so entertained. Our lives were downright boring before you met Haley.” Alpha Eric groaned, “Do NOT say that in front of Beta Dylan.” Matt laughed, “Why? He would absolutely agree. I get DAILY updates on his fairy show. He’s lives for it.” Alpha Eric pointed at Matt, “That! That is why Beta Dylan can never know we’ve all realized how damn boring our lives were pre-fairy’s. We will NEVER hear the f*****g end of it. He’d probably sing a damn song.” Matt laughed, “He probably would do that, yes.” Alpha Eric turned to me, “I assume I’m here about the plans to combine your and Cameron’s pack.” I snorted, “You own the damn architect company he used, don’t you?” Alpha Eric smirked, “I do. They are all pack members.” I rolled my eyes. Of course they were. I said, “I want to plan a smooth transition. I figured I’d pick your brain...since you’re the only person I know who’s done it.” Alpha Eric said, “I’m lucky. When we acquired packs, and decided it was best to split out our numbers, they were in territories surrounding us. You and Cameron combining packs is quite smart. Let’s be honest, it would take years for him to solidify his borders. He wouldn’t fall because we wouldn’t let him, but this...You will be protecting your brother, and living under the same roof. I personally think more packs should do it. We are very efficient, my brother and I. Besides, it’s not like many Alpha Brothers or sisters aren’t close.” 

        I thought about it, he was actually right. It was rare for siblings in a pack to be unable to get along. Bicker sure, we are still siblings; however, it was RARE for siblings to be unable to get along. Alpha Jackson spoke, “Eric came up with the plans for our packs. The hardest was Harold’s because when he came of age we’d acquired the pack west of us. It was natural he lead them. We simply immersed them into the pack. After six months, we had enough members that we let a few of them move back closer to their homes with a few of our warriors who ran border patrols on that side.” Alpha Eric nodded, “Yes, it will be important that most of Cameron’s pack be in the new pack house. Keep some families and warriors stationed in their area in their homes with your own that you decide to keep there. Based on where you are building. It’s in the perfect spot. Both places are easy to get to. I’d suggest you build a new school for the pups along with your pack house and main home. I know the teenagers and junior high students attend public school, but when you combine the groups, you won’t want the kids running from one side to the other. It doesn’t exactly encourage intermingling. We made that mistake briefly with Harold’s pack. They didn’t feel as though they were part of our pack because of it. Parents were worried about the run, and teachers were tired from having to be at school to prepare then run back to pick up their kids. That was a mess until we got the new school built.” I nodded taking notes on my computer. We discussed the other common pitfalls they avoided with Alpha Darrin’s pack once he took over after having the growing pains from Alpha Harold’s. We’d even had lunch bought in several hours ago because the conversation had a lot to cover. Haley popped in. She crossed her arms, “It’s almost dinner time. The triplets DEMANDED I come get you. I’m honestly surprised Cassie didn’t just pop to you.” 

        Alpha Eric laughed, “I didn’t mean to be gone so long, Angel.” Haley smirked, “You’ll just have to make it up to me that you missed post lunch fun time.” Alpha Jackson raised an eyebrow. Alpha Eric said, “What? I missed what now?” Haley said, “I had a whole plan. There was a sexy costume, cuffs, toys. I came up with the whole sexy fairy kit.” Alpha Jackson said, “Nine yards. The whole nine yards Haley, is the correct saying.” Haley said, “OH MY GOD! NO! NO! Eric, that one doesn’t even remotely make sense! There were no yards of anything! It was all sexy fun. FAIRY FUN!” Alpha Eric growled. He turned to me, “I will have Caleb send you over everything we have. If you have any other questions. Set up another meeting with us. I think you and Cameron will be pleased with the end result. I’m glad you’re doing this.” He grabbed Alpha Jackson’s shoulder without releasing Haley from his home, “Pop us home Angel. I can’t wait to see your sexy fairy kit.” Haley smirked, “You’ll have to convince me to show it to you.” She giggled as Alpha Eric growled. They popped out. Derrick said, “Bravest and shortest fairy OF ALL TIME!” I laughed, “True.” My dad knocked, “The Vampire king is here, oh...Alpha Conners is gone….ahhh yes his fairy.” I said, “Just popped out.” He said, “God, that would be useful. Think of all the time he saves now. I’m LITERALLY calculating all the time I spent running to allies or in the damn car. Could’ve just gotten myself a fairy. Probably had a damn partial fairy that we thought was human. In reality they just needed to be trained on their powers. Damn the full blooded fairies to hell.” I laughed as he walked out.

        King Arthur and Robert walked through the door. Susanna gave me a slight wave as she sat outside the door which Derrick shut. King Arthur said, “Susanna has made me aware of the threat to her friends. All of whom….are close to this pack.” I said, “Not being advertised.” Robert said, “Didn’t tell the mate about the wife then?” I growled, “She’s my wife in name ONLY! My mate has requested not to be apprised of the situation.” King Arthur said, “Ahh, if I know a lass; and I’ve known a few in my time Alpha, that will blow up in your face.” I sighed, “I’m aware.” Robert said, “We will have guards with Susanna anytime she works for the catering company.” I said, “I figured there would be. They are welcome in my territory anytime. If you have their names and possibly pictures that would be helpful for my men. Did you hire werewolves?” Robert said, “For daytime guards, yes. She has trusted vampire guards for night time.” I raised an eyebrow, “Just get me their names. I’ll tell my men not to bat an eye at their presence here….because they will be following her even when she’s not at events right? There’s no way…..with one of their own people after my mate and my Gamma’s that you’d let your mate walk around freely.” Robert gritted his teeth. King Arthur laughed, “Even if he would, lad… I would not. My child has found his mate. I will not see my child grieve that loss. I love him as a son. I lost someone I consider to be the love of my life as I have not yet met my mate. It still grieves me. The lass will be protected, and should Noah Calver be spotted by any vampire in this state….he is to be brought directly to me.” I was stunned but couldn’t show it. 

        Matt linked, “Holy Shit.” I said, “Should we find him first, as a show of good faith, I’ll give you a call King Arthur. I have plans to involve the fairy princess for a house of horrors of his fears.” King Arthur smirked, “I hear she hates Noah.” I said, “Since she only ever calls him a f*****g troll...Hate might not be a strong enough word here.” King Arthur smiles, “She does have such spunk that lass. I hear she is good friends with your mate, but she does not know the two of you have met.” Robert coughed, “Officially.” King Arthur smirked, “My child is right. The fairy lass is quite perceptive about others. Herself, no. If you do not think both she and her Alpha wolf don’t know about you meeting your mate…..You are wrong.” I said, “They suspect.” King Arthur laughed, “They know without knowing. It’s hardly a suspicion for either of them. I like the lass, quite a lot. She’s different from other fairies, but she’s got the spunk of her late aunt.” Matt linked me, “According to Beta Caleb, he loved the fairy aunt.” I said, “I am sorry for your loss, King Arthur. I never met her, but no one had an unkind word to say about the Queen’s sister.” King Arthur smiled, “Faelynn was the sun to me.” I nodded. He got me to guards names both vampire and werewolf. I snorted, “No need to give me the werewolves pictures. You’re not messing around.” Robert said, “I am in discussions for a Hackura guard.” Of course he was. I said, “A permanent one?” Robert said, “Until she is turned. Yes.” Matt said, “Damn to have centuries worth of money would kick ass.” I nodded, “I doubt we will ever see him, but one never knows.” Robert snorted, “Her. I’ve requested a female guard.” I linked Matt, “Of course he has.” Matt snorted, “As if you wouldn’t do the same.” He was right. “I’d accepted a mated male.” Matt smirked, “Gay Male?” I said, “If he was mated.” Matt was trying not to laugh.
