Maya's POV The prison telephone was chilly on my ear. I pushed it down more firmly, thinking it might make Alexandra's voice come through clearer amidst the static. "Repeat that," I murmured. "I mentioned that we've finished being agreeable." Alexandra spoke in a tranquil manner. Excessively serene. The type of tranquility that arrived just prior to a tempest.
