After their morning run Maddison and John line up for their combat.

“For the beginning, I will not use my wolf speed so your can get used to it”

Maddison smirked at his words. As soon as John started, he lands on his back. Maddison was hovering above him.

“Got you! Should we start the real thing “

“What?!!”

“Close your mouth dad. Hahaha”

“Maddy when did you connect with your wolf?”

“Yesterday when I was at the lake. Meridian told me to jump down the waterfall.”

“Meridian? Beautiful name. How do you feel?”

They were laughing and hugging for the first time. After their special moment, they start the real training. Maddison was over the moon.

She didn’t tell Sarah about Meridian because she wanted to keep it to herself for some time. So when they arrived at school Sarah was the only one talking about a new pair of shoes she wanted to get. Maddison was just smiling the whole time.
